As a small aside, what do you make of Darcy? When he first came on the scene he displaced Kevin Maggs and was totally different in his approach, all footwork and handspeed unlike Maggs who was a straight line runner (and a good one at that).

Seems to me Darcy's never really gotten over that serious knee injury. More an outside centre too.

O Driscoll is very very average.

As a Welshman i was distgusted with the attitude of the players.

Wales need to win by 13 points to finish top. At 65 minutes Wales get a penalty on the half way. Henson misses the Kick. Wales still 1 point behind.

Now if they had any intention of finishing top they needed tries. If they scored a try then they were 1 converted try away from winning the competition. Instead they were happy to beat Ireland and finish 2nd. Instead they are now 4th. Its the mentality of the union game that gets me going.

Surley you play to the game to finish as high as you can not just to win 1 game which you lose in the end. Then again scoring tries is a bit aline in union they prefer a kick and clap.

Would that be the same Gasnier playing Rugby Union?

O Driscoll is a very good rugby player. Hes got the better of Faz for Ireland. Try to be objective instead of the usual crap were better than them without actually knowing that much about the player.

Sorry Faz went to prop when we had to use him. He was still loose forward when we did have enough players to cover. Point that you seemed to miss.

But werent you calling him Trash. And judging him on ability. Now he has more skill and ability than any centre is SL. Only Gidley comes close to him. He can run the ball, brings players in and leads very well.

Now surely any SL player is better than any union Trash.

I accidently watched a few minutes of the France v Italy game while waiting for something to start on sky (i can't stop channel surfing), there was 5 or 6 kicks on the stick end all within 1 miute of play, i shouted obscenitys at the tv and flicked over, what a pile og Dog Shit

Now on your other point, I would rather have, for example, Carmont in a Wigan RL side any day of the week to O Driscoll. Any day.


Against an organised RL defence O Driscoll would be made to look what he is - very very average.

Now, given 5 years of the Communist Cap, I have no doubt that the future generations of RU players WILL be better than their SL counterparts.

However, for the moment, that is not true.
