You know that how? I may have a more reliable source than you. I may know the truth but feel it isn't my place to announce it. I may of course be simply reading into the aggressiveness of the statement put out by Wigan who as said are known to keep things quiet and put positive spins on stuff and getting 5 when multiplying 2 by 2.

If we accept that indeed SW/MM/IL are to blame, and that GH has been shown no respect, then that's the price he has to pay for being so unprofessional in the first place, and for having the good luck to have these people stand by him. I, like many others on this board, stood by the decision to keep GH and took a bit of stick on for doing so, but now, i'm happy that he has gone.

The club's owner has made a number of specific and serious accusations about Hock's behaviour.

gutted. not cos he's left, but that we spent valuable time, effort and cap space accomodating someone who is showing himself to be unworthy of being a professional athlete.

It was seem Hock is going to go down as the 'bad guy' in this, which is a shame, when he isn't at fault. Yes he has had issues in the past, which he paid his due with his ban. The two issues are separate.

Argue the point, ok, fine, but knowing the situation I would sooner see the back of Wane.

id imagine IL knows the full situation too and his decision of wane or hock is pretty clear. hock will never play for wigan again now and wane is still coach. it would probably have been a dam sight cheaper to have sacked wane than mess about with hocks contract.

Well Hock has probably shot his career in the foot, with this move.

Lets face it RU are not going to be getting him in, so unless he can get his agent to manage a move the to NRL he is going to be stuck going no where for the rest of his career.

Sure he'll get the money he is on but he will soon find it hard work at other clubs. You can say he will change Widnes and make them a better prospect, or the alternative is also true. Widnes may change him, rather than win win win each week, if Widnes lose, lose, lose each week he may easily become demotivated and end up playing poorer himself.

I'm no fan of Wigan, but this kind of behaviour just shows how ungrateful his is for having his career rescued. Lets face it, Wigan would not have stood in his way had a move to the NRL been made, just like they have not stood in Tomkins way or any other players way. This all seams to be about attitude and behaviour

Having read all the posts at present there is only one side of the story officially released, i.e. from the Wigan RL owner/board, and there is yet to be a response from Hock or his agent to deny/refute the claims made by IL.

The interesting point that I picked up on which doesn't seem to have been raised by anyone yet is in the following:
“We acceded to his recent request for a move to Australia on the basis that a change of environment and a different competition might be good socially for him, provided it was also financially beneficial to Wigan."

That would indicate to me that there are more off field issues that are not being spoken about - if this was just a bust up between Wane and Hock and it was an on-field issue I don't think the statement that has come out would have been as strong.

Maybe Wigan feel very let down if he needs to be better socially??
