| Lima played well considering he was part of a beaten pack.

| Quote: Big Steve "It was a great collective effort from the wire pack tonight - they were far more eager, worked hard for each other and didn't let wigan get any momentum. We went back to 1 dimensional rugby and as a result made it even easier for their forwards to pick out the attacking player.
We definately seemed to lacking a bit of size up front though - but I'll put that down to lack of momentum caused by wires good defence - and dare I say it (because wigan are apparently the only team who do it) wrestling in the tackle...........'"
hang on, thats the excuse you used last year, when fielden was on his own, then you were bragging all pre season how lima and hoffman were going to change everything, and we still outmuscled you.

| Quote: gazmeister_89 "i think all of your forwards today did ok.
i just think as a pack they were found wanting by a superior (on the night) wire pack. obviously as a wire fan i think our pack at the moment is the best in the league but i dont want to get into whos pack is best as that could end in a slanging match between us wire fans and yourselves, but tonight our pack owned, fair enough your missing fielden and JT, but i dont think they would have made much difference against our pack tonight. we won the advantage line battle 99% of the time.
to single out lima is unfair, like i say i think all of your pack did ok but were just out-muscled by a more enthusiastic wire pack'"
Of course having two of our two best forwards back would have made a huge difference. At the moment we're playing with three props and a second rower in the rotation.

| Hoffman looks a good signing. Lima looks like a lightweight Jerry Seuseu.

| Jeff Lima looks a very similar type player to ex-Warrington prop Danny Lima.
He too started out as a "fans favourite" over-hyped signing. By the time he left us there was nobody disppointed to see him go.

Nothing to do with the fact that they have the same name?
5 games in to his new club career and played well for me last night.

Yeah but he wasn't exactly ripping up trees for Wigan earlier on in the evening though.

He certanly did enough to make Paul Wood poop his panties. I thought Wood had a reputation?
I could see his knees shaking from the stands.

Is this a joke? Woody certainly did not back away from Lima. Whats this reputation that you talk of? One of getting sent off only 3 times in his career and rarely giving away penalties?

Paul Wood has a reputation as a good/very good player. He has no reputation as some sort of hard man, if that's what you're suggestion is.
Anyway, I don't think that he shat himself last night, you would clearly be able to see that on TV and I've watched the game again in HD. Conversely, I very much doubt you could see Woods knees shaking from the stands, not unless you had a pair of binoculars.
Even if Paul Wood did go for a poo on the field/started shaking I very much doubt it would be because of Jeff Lima. Well, not unless he was laughing at Lima that hard that he lost control of his body functions and legs.

| Wood just showed discipline not to react, nothing to do with any 'fear'. Woody must be tough anyway, he is a born and bred Wiganer!

| Morley won hands down. One of the bests props over the past 10 yrs for me. As for Lima v Woods, Woods played miles better, showed restraint and discipline when Lima had a pop. Woods isn't anybodies patsy, he's one tough bloke.

| Lima needs to be used running onto a second receiver/inside ball, never had the leg speed to take it one off the PTB. He will be effective in space, but not in a congested ruck area.

Yeah have to agree and can't really understand the first comment about this. Paul Wood is a top player with a great engine, no cheap shots just keeps working. Wigan should have snapped him up just before you men extended his contract..
