If you have an average player like H on big wages where would it of ended, that is the mistake they made in football. Plus ofc if you name your your best back row then remove one you'll be weaker, a bit obvious that.
H would not of made any difference to this season, Bateman would of still had the spot.

My son and i have followed Wigan Warriors home and away from Edinburgh since 2003 and have been the proud holders of season tickets for the last five years .

Because we travel from Edinburgh does not make us any better / worse fans than anybody else . Just makes us Wigan Fans like all the rest .

I too have met EW, at Clapham Junction after a game at the stoop. I was going home he was on his way to Gatwick Airport to fly home. An apology is in order. If there is a fan who puts in as many mile to watch his team I'd love to meet him and shake his hand. I wish I had the time and money to do the same.

I dont like this I am a better fan than you rubbish. People travel from all over to watch Wigan and cant get to all the games, some people cant always attend games due to work and others have other commitments such as kids. There is simply no way of that anyone on a message board can say they are a better fan than someone else.

Lol are you only allowed an opinion if you own a season ticket? What happens if you have one but don't go to the away games? What happens if you have one, go to the away games but don't have the pie bumper sticker. All those imo are a necessity before you can comment on anything to do with Wigan RL.

Are we including academy matches in this? What about if you don't wear the shirt?

I havent had a season ticket since my daughter was born, unfortunately childminders and dancing/swimming lessons dont come cheap. Plus, these days, id rather go fishing

I don't have one either. Personally I don't feel the need to go to all of the games as half of them turn out to be poor.

Who's the better fan:

One who purchases a season ticket but then can't make to go to some of the games.

Or, one who goes to all home games but pays on the gate?

a superfan doesnt drink at games, they would miss vital match data that could be used against other supposed superfans on an internet forum!!!

This happened to me back around 2002-2004 when my kids were born.
I was on a pretty crap wage at the time and the missus quit work to look after the lads. It gutted me, but couldn't justify the outlay every fortnight. Food on the table & bills paid took priority I'm afraid. Couldn't even afford Sky Sports, so had to rough it and go to the local (one pint only) to watch televised matches for free.

As soon as the situation changed then of course I then found my 'first love' again.

I remember yoy telling me once. Used to sit in the south with wigans triple lll and dave and elaine (we are gareth and carla but yoy prob dont remember lol)
