Even if he was here, he surely wouldn't have been playing on that side.

| Hastings rather than needing to kick needs to be played in his proper position first where his talent can help the team . This messing around with the backs to avoid picking Hanley at full back is becoming an obsession with Lam and pure blody mindedness. Can't admit he was wrong not to try that first

| I was unimpressed with Hanley's first team games, but I agree he should have been getting picked at FB straight after Hardaker's ban. We might as well release him if we still aren't going to pick him at FB with French, Hardaker and Field all unavailable.

| Stupidity not bringing Hankinson back. He'd solve three issues for me....he could go full back and do a job there, stop hastings being negated at FB and bring him back into the line (when we critically need creativity), and would allow us to kick goals.
Parts of that wire game where we should have been back within 6 pts despite an awful start. Had we got back to 24-18 instead of 24-14...wire would have done their usual and probably imploded. Goal kicking had a huge impact on that game and will in many other close games....even when back Hardaker is barely an average goal kicker.
Brink Hankinson back, Hastings back in the halves, isa back in the pack and we're starting to look like a team again.

All subjective! IMO he's bang right....putting hanley FB would be carnage. Hes already shown himself up to be a defensive liability

That's still not a reason for moving your best player. Put anyone there - Gildart, Marshall, Smith etc. Just not JH.
It's like sticking Ronaldo in centre mid because "he can do a job' there, but totally ignoring that he's he's your only attacking threat.

| Ive seen nothing in Hanley to suggest he's the next big thing - would people be saying persevere with him if it wasn’t for his name?
if Isa picks up a ban, surely time to bring back the Hank

To be fair Hanley is our only available full back so I think in this case yes people would still be calling for him to be picked. Having said that, I definitely think he got a crazy amount of slack at the start of the year, that wouldn't have been afforded to other youngsters. I hope him not being called up is related to his personal life rather than ability, because if he can't get a game at FB when French, Hardaker and Field are all missing ,then it isn't going to happen.

Yes we can and he should have been back weeks ago IMO
Adrian Lam says the club hasn't discussed the prospect of recalling Chris Hankinson after suffering a raft of injuries within his outside backs.
Ahead of next week's season opener with Leigh Centurions, Lam could be without four senior members of his backline. Liam Marshall continues to recover from an ACL injury while Dom Manfredi is set to miss the first three weeks of the season after sustaining a thumb problem.
Oliver Gildart has a groin injury which means he is a doubt for the opening day battle with the Centurions, while new signing Jai Field has a back problem which could rule him out too. The continued uncertainty over Bevan French adds further doubts to Lam's team for round one.
That has left some fans wondering whether the club could recall Hankinson, who has joined Championship club London Broncos on a season-long loan. However, the Warriors can recall Hankinson at any time should they wish to do so.

So the club aren't even bothering to update their press releases?
Cut and paste...

No this is from the Manchester evening news in MARCH when we were playing forwards in the centres.

| If we are so short of backs, why has Sam Halsall not been recalled from his short term loan?
