if a game is on a knife edge then admittedly I stay to the end - If I was there on Friday then I would definatley left early to get a flyer in the traffic. We sat in traffic trying to get out of the carparks for over an hour for the WCC so that is why I leave early.
Still I guess im not a proper supporter 
Oh and yes I was at Leeds for the playoffs and that cost me even more.

Couple of observations on this point:
1) it's a right pain if you want to watch the game to the end spending the last 15 minutes up and down out of your seat as people shuffle past on their way out; and
2) Why do people who want to "get away quickly" after the game park on the offcial car parks? You have to be a muppet to think "quick exit" and "official stadium car park" ever belong together.

Yes it did look like that in the north stand on Friday night, well done to your team and hope you all enjoyed yourselves but please don't have a go at us because if the DW was the same size as your ground all the primrose and blue fans and 2,000 of our season ticket holders would have been waving outside the ground cos there wouldn't have been room for them to get inside.
You are preaching to the converted on here and you will not find many of us posters who did leave early but if they did that is their choice and I would defend to the death their right to do so. Every team does it and yours is no different but it is easier to see our early leavers  with that big gap in the stands.
The other thing I would like to point out to you is that the % of those that do leave our place early, no matter how small, would constitute a great crowd for a lot of teams even those in super league

The grandkids have been brought up never to leave the ground even when loosing 50 - 0 stay to the end and clap the team off like my uncle did with me.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Just watching Huddersfield Town vs Notts County on Sky Sports 1.
The stand we were in last week is almost empty of any away fans, just goes to show what great support we lend to opposition clubs in SL even on a Friday night.

Good on them!
I was embarassed to see people leave on the hour mark in the West stand on Friday, many of them fellow season ticket holders although looking on the bright side i didnt have to listen to any of the crap they spout about the team for the remaining 20 minutes of the match. |
