Been in the new shop today.
Pretty disappointing to be honest.

It’s very small - smaller than the old one.
I understand it's much cheaper on rent but by moving all the way up to that corner of the GA and it being such a small shop are we really going to be much better off?

Not in my opinion.

Wigan fans know where it is so it's not like the location in the GA matters.

The shop is empty most of the time and only gets full at certain times of the year..... when the new shirt comes out, when/if we get to a final etc.

It's a good move I think, especially because it has annoyed the tics fans.

i often go into Wigan with no intention of going in the shop but end up in there as it catches my eye.

Debenhams is one of the busiest places in the Grand Arcade and just think what it's going to be like in a few weeks time. Paying less rent and being sat right next to Debenhams come Christmas and the January sales? Yes, please!
Usually drive to town and so park in the multi storey and come into the GA through the now 'Wigan Walk of Fame'.
Every Wigan fan knows where the shop is and anyone who wants to know where it is can always ask. Don't see the problem.

the timing of the re-location is poor in my opinion
i think it wud of been better to wait for new kits release before opening as i believe there isnt really anything new in the store atm

Perfect opportunity to get past any teething problems, leaving the shop and staff ready and prepared for the big kit launch and the Christmas period. Good planning Mr Lenaghan et al.

on a side note they also need to give a printing lesson to the employees

they printed both my shirts wrong last season they put BETT S 11 with a MASSIVE gap its not really hard to do is it

We did see the lad in there put RICHARD 5 on a shirt at one point last year

. Thankfully it wasn't one of ours!

now thts just wrong atleast with mine they had an excuse our denis retired in 2002 and maybe they didnt know what i really meant but how cn u get the star players name wrong

I went past the new club shop today for the 1st time since it moved, it looks out the way where it now ok they mite have a few signs directing you where it is but its in corner out the way down there, IMHO it was better where it was as most people that went into the GA would have walked past it but not now where is is.

Yes it may be cheaper rent. Far cheaper.

But it's a crap location and a crap store.
Cramped store which if a few are in it's a pain to get round.
Rubbish. And that new shirt at the front of it doesnt help lol!
