If they're banned they can't do it. Getting a ban on your own board would be more annoying than getting banned on another teams.

That's true, but as you say, there are some (wigan fans included I hasten to add) that don't seem able to have an adult conversation without resorting to insults and spouting nonsense.

Banning trolls on their own board, even just for a couple of days, might be a good idea!

Troll definition is another thing, some people think an opposing fan on 'their' board offering a differing opinion is a troll, i'm sure some remember the thread a couple of weeks back about if Warriors had their own stadium and the what the capacity should be. Most disagreed with me, fair do's but then you'll get the time honoured response in threads 'why don't you troll off on your own board'
Couple of points

1.This board isn't anyone's, the Wire board isn't mine and just because you support x team doesn't mean you have the right to dictate who comes on the board you support, if a post is within the AUP and you don't like it, tough.

2. We have a report button which hardly anyone uses and then bitch and moan that the mods don't mod correctly. HELP US OUT and we'll deal with it quicker

Should brand the poster (former troll). Below his avatar. Banning on their own forum is the way forward.

There are some of the Moderators on the list above that no longer use the forum, so discussions are in place to remove them and add new ones. Then we can start to "patrol" it better.

Some fans of various clubs like yourself, Damo, Horatio, Prop Joe etc are not really the issue. Issue now is that if anything negative is done by any player or anything connected with Wigan Warriors then the standard of the posts and the general discussion is that of children in a playground. Usually this is new supporters of other clubs (I do agree same is done by some Wigan fans on other boards) or kids who now got access to the forums. It seems some dont want a discussion but want to have a pop on anything connected to Wigan Warriors. The amount of threads on Tomkins was a joke last week and he only did what others have done before.

I do think its time for mods on this forum to be much more vigilant and ban people who generally post on here to wind people up or derail a thread. It really does annoy me when supporters of other clubs post more on here than on thier own boards. By all means support your own team but let Wigan supporters and people who have something to bring into a discussion time to disucss things before you post crap on here.

If you dont bring anything productive to a discussion then please dont post your destroying what was a very good forum but now its resembles a school playground.

Not really no. It's certainly no different to what's been said by wire fans about Wigan fans; there are certain posters all over these forums that readily tar every supporter of a particular team as something.

As for the 'wolfs' thing, you're clearly being obtuse, it's no different to someone saying dire, wigoon, stains, whinos, etc ad infinitum

He wrote it on the Wigan board, how can it be trolling, unless his aim was to troll his fellow Wigan fans or indeed himself?

As for the 'wolf' bit, I take it back what I said above, he managed to troll a Wire fan on the Wigan board, I'd give him extra points for that!
