| Quote Phuzzy="Phuzzy"Are you for real? Gleeson was instrumental in us both reaching and winning the GF last year. Roberts was the best player in SL up to his injury and was everyone's shout for MOS...that's above eventual winner Pat Richards and this year's favourite, Sam Tomkins. Have a word with yourself!'"
I totally agree with all of the above but it was Wigan's choice to release Gleeson and you were picking Goulding over Roberts last season and Charnley this season. My original post wasn't intended to wind others up, was simply stating that we have a few injuries on the cards at the minute and then it was turned into a dick measuring contest. Not my intention.

Didn't he play a few times earlier this season and alot for the Under 20's last season? Apologies if wrong. I obviously don't have as much Wigan knowledge as you lot but I'm quite conifident that Charnley would start before him?

Roberts has been pretty much gash for his entire stay at Wigan bar about 2 months where he played well above himself.
Even when fit he plays in your reserves these days - he'd be nowhere near the side. Who are you dropping for him: Tomkins, Charnley or Richards?

| Gutted for him. He was looking really aggresive and he would have been a real weapon for us. Wigan career over.

I know where you're coming from but whilst I agree that his 1st season wasn't all that (he came over nursing an injury, was unable to do pre-season and suffered what many do in their first season over here) by the start of the 2nd he was on fire, something that was prematurely curtailed due to a very serious knee injury. I agree he wouldn't get into the team on current form but that is comparing apples and oranges. The original post I was replying to was about injuries and we have been deprived of the form SL player from the beginning of last season through injury. I can't see how you could object to that appraisal. Indeed I'm sure you posted about Roberts yourself during that period as being sensational or similar.

Fair enough, but if that wasn't your intention then you shouldn't have dismissed our injuries whilst 'bigging up' your own. We have had many more injuries throughout the season (as have ALL clubs) that weren't mentioned. The poster replying to you merely mentioned 3 of the most significant which, Fielden apart, you chose to belittle. Not having a go, but if it was a genuine post, why did you feel the need to do that?

Well if you want to post uninformed garbage, expect that kind of reply.

| I wouldn't mind seeing Tom Spencer get a run out on Friday especially as the U20's don't have a game this weekend.
