Risky signing.'"
to be fair, theres no-one currently available or has been signed already by any club in SL who could match Hoffman

| Quote: DaveO "Talk about selective reading. On just about every other statistic Coley is better than Lauaki and by some distance. Coley averaged more meters, more carries and is better in just about every stat bar tackle busts. In particular Coley made 521 tackles in 22 games v 310 in 26 for Lauaki. Coley also made 87 marker tackles compared to 42 for Lauaki.

Lauaki - Poor side, poor coach
Coley - Top 2 side, Micheal Maguire.
Bitcon will work wonders on this guy, worry not.

Surprised that you have signed someone who seems to play short stints as an impact player.... Hoffman was the total opposite..... I thought Hoffman's first team place would go to Joel Tomkins..... But that doesn't appear to be the case now.
I imagine he was probably quite cheap though..... so maybe a risk worth taking.

| We needed more options in the pack, particularly attacking options. We were left with Hansen, Farrell, Hock and Tuson to choose from in the back row and there's only Hock who offers any physicality in attack. Hansen, Farrell and Tuson make for some pretty lightweight back row options so some extra size was a must and a bit more aggression shouldn't go amiss either.
The biggest worry is his laziness in defence. Madge wouldn't have made a signing like this that's for sure, obviously Wane thinks he can improve Lauaki's defence because it needs to improve massively.

Hoffman was a freakish signing and would of never left the storm if that salary cap trouble hadnt of happened. So it would be really hard to sign any 1 anywhere nr Hoffmans standards ,

| Quote: Father Ted "Hull fans have been wanting rid of their fitness man and coach for years and now they have their wish.
Lauaki like all at Hull has underperformed there.
A new start for him.
He will be going into the pre season schedule and we will have to see how he turns out. I do think he will be better for us than he was for Hull.'"
Thats rubbish, plenty of players have played well and improved under Agar, you only have to look at Sam Moa.
I honestly can't believe you have signed him never mind giving him a 3 year deal.
The 2nd worst import I have seen at Hull since we have been at the KC.
His weight and fitness isn't a problem, he has no heart and doesn't run his weight, very, very poor defender. Discipline on paper isn't bad but he is prone to giving away daft penalties, such as when he has the ball.
Wigan and Wane will really have there work cut out to get their moneys worth.

We don't know what their money's worth is though. Can't see Lauaki being on a massive wedge of our cap
I'm not as disappointed as some on here with this signing. Our pack needed bolstering and although I'm happy to hear that Wane and Leneghan want to use the academy to back up the first team more regularly I wouldn't want us to be totally reliant on it, especially up front, where experience is probably more important

He is going to have to. He has played 51 SL games and made 613 tackles. An average of 12 per game
EDIT: And Coley was putting in the same number of tackles under Noble in 2009 as he was under Madge.

I trust our coaching staff and Ian Lenegan. There will be reasons why we have signed him, there is obviously huge potential, with the youngsters we have coming through in the pack the club must see him as a big player for us next season.
