| Quote: stpatricks "Maybe Lima was signed too soon, the Melbourne players were signed before the end of season run and I am sure that the coaching team were suprised at how well the young forwards aquitted themselves in the back end of 2010.'"
If we hadnt signed Lima then Fielden got injured for 4 months people would have been screaming that we needed another prop. Lima is a top class acquisition to the squad who has plenty of NRL and international experience and give him time and he will show us what he can do, hopefully tomorrow night for one! With Coley set to retire, Fielden injured, Preccy and Mossop playing out of their skin and Davies and Crosby waiting for an opportnity I think we currently have an excellent blend of youth and experience in our front row.

Landerson made him drop it at the DW.
Infact, instructions to Hansen this year from madge "dont stand still holding the ball"

| Thought Lima did ok tonight in a completly dominated pack, at least he wasn't afraid of taking it back to them at full speed. My biggest beef is why young Liam wasn't in the team??

| Not sure what the big guy did wrong tonight, Coley and Prescott where more liabilities in either giving ball away or penalties. Lima did the hard work, Mossop was good again to.

| We need a tough go forward prop a la Kel Skerrett or Graeme West.
These two were as tough as teak and in the case of Westy, didn't even go looking for a fight.
But boy could he 'do the business', as even Les Boyd found out to his cost at Burnden park, Bolton.

| i think all of your forwards today did ok.
i just think as a pack they were found wanting by a superior (on the night) wire pack. obviously as a wire fan i think our pack at the moment is the best in the league but i dont want to get into whos pack is best as that could end in a slanging match between us wire fans and yourselves, but tonight our pack owned, fair enough your missing fielden and JT, but i dont think they would have made much difference against our pack tonight. we won the advantage line battle 99% of the time.
to single out lima is unfair, like i say i think all of your pack did ok but were just out-muscled by a more enthusiastic wire pack

| It was a great collective effort from the wire pack tonight - they were far more eager, worked hard for each other and didn't let wigan get any momentum. We went back to 1 dimensional rugby and as a result made it even easier for their forwards to pick out the attacking player.
We definately seemed to lacking a bit of size up front though - but I'll put that down to lack of momentum caused by wires good defence - and dare I say it (because wigan are apparently the only team who do it) wrestling in the tackle...........

| Lima played well considering he was part of a beaten pack.

hang on, thats the excuse you used last year, when fielden was on his own, then you were bragging all pre season how lima and hoffman were going to change everything, and we still outmuscled you.

Of course having two of our two best forwards back would have made a huge difference. At the moment we're playing with three props and a second rower in the rotation.
