I guess that would mean Eastmond at 6 and Pryce to fullback.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

It won't be Ricky Stewart. He would upset St Helens favourite son if he went there: www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/leag ... -iwxl.html
I got told that it would be Cunningham at the start of this season. I thought it was just bull5h!t but maybe something in it.

| Quote: thepriestman85 "Morgan is no different to Potter in coaching terms imo. Potter has a better team at the moment and thats the biggest difference.
If Potter is replaced by Morgan then it's like for like and we've not got much to worry about BUT if Potter is replaced by Ricky Stewart then it's bad news for us and the rest of SL.
A lot of the dead wood at Saints like KFC, Flannery, Fozzard etc will be leaving at the end of the season. That’s a lot of cap space which a quality coach with a good knowledge of the NRL will be able make a big impact with
From the rest of SL’s pov it’s a worry that all the good things Saints have done this season have come from their younger starts. The likes of Eastmond, Pryce, Graham and Roby have all been top draw this season and all had points to prove at the start of the year.
If they pull in Bailey, Shenton, a 13 and possibly another winger they are gonna be a major threat next season. We’ve already seen at Wigan this season how much a top coach can make a huge difference.'"
This season is far from over yet. You might be really worried another month or two down the line.

So Has Potter "Improved" St Helens? It was only 3 weeks ago a lot of the Saints fans were saying how it was the most Boring Rugby Blah Blah Blah they had Seen in 20+ Years!'"
They said the same thing in the first 12 months of Anderson too, now he apparently played the most expansive rugby since The Invicibles came over.
We lost a lot of experience over the last few years and replaced it with youth (and Soliola, but he's played about 45 mins in all), we've also had to contend with injuries that get described as 'decimating' when other team suffer them (such as you were described by Hemmings as when you had 9 missing against Quins, yet nothing was mentioned when we had 8 missing against Leeds the night after), but barely get mentioned when we suffer them. Let's not forget these are youth players that a lot of you lot say are no good, but there we sit, 2 points behind you and having just put Leeds and Hull KR to the sword.
Potter isn't a miracle worker, he isn't the best coach we've ever had, but he has progressed our squad, improved our youngsters, managed the transition of the three key players we've lost (or are losing) without us losing a great deal of momentum. He's a bloody good coach and a lot better than Morgan IMO.

| Would be rather funny if they got Brian Noble.
Given that a few Oz players have had homesickness due to fall in the pound i cant see them getting a quality NRL coach. Financially makes no sense for them to come up at the moment.

| Potter's record at catalans was exceptional, just look at them now! At saints he's inherited a thread bare squad in transition yet remained extremely competitive. Top class coach that will be a huge loss.
Hope saints bring in a quality replacement, ricky stewart would be a good shout as he's top drawer and doing ok with a team with so many off the field probs that can't even spend the full cap- defensively cronulla are still very strong, he just can't buy creative players. Every other club would hate him and would make for great rivalry. He'd be my choice.

| Personally i think Potter has done a good job at Saints, look at how many youngsters have had to be introduced this season and if they arent as good as some people say then to get them performing to get Saints to 3rd in the league and beaten Leeds well and hammered Hull KR then that takes a decent coach in my opinion. They are only 2 points behind us and that still makes them a dangerous proposition in my book, but obviously Potter has seen over their demise!!

Bit harsh isn't it? Is ruled out for the year having played barely 2 games because of a freak training ground injury...would call that more bad luck than a [iterrible signing[/i.
