It's been done for most of the big games in recent years and brings in a huge amount of sales that I'm not convinced would happen otherwise as a lot of them are to 'new' supporters.


It's a gradual process with gaps between season ticket holders when people don't renew etc. Not a lot that can be done about it (especially as 'pick your own seat' online often means people deliberately leave a gap).

Should be an awesome atmosphere, the stage is set for the players to show Madge how they intend to send him off.

Does anyone know how many saints have sold

What is capacity with unreserved seating?

Based on 24028 (last time we sold out in that situation), Saints would have sold over 3000 when Wigan announced they had sold over 21,000 based on what Wigan had left in their stands.

That was around 4 days ago so how many have shifted since then I've no idea (Wigan have shifted around another 600), hopefully the threat of a sell out will make those leaving it late opt in early and we'll take up 4500 but we still don't travel quite like we did a few years ago.

I know of some Saints fans who are sitting in the Wigan stands, though (preferring a side on view), so we can't judge our numbers solely by how many we sell in the 'away' end.

Theres about 500 in the Wigan ends left according to eticketing and I think that includes a small section back from the NHs allocation as a nice little green block appeared this morning in the East stand

As SaintsFan said, there are quite a few who have purchased directly from you to get a side view on the game. Saints have sold 'quite a few over 3000' so I would expect is to be bringing between 3,500 and 4,500, depending on how many have bought directly from you.

Side on view from the 10m - 20m line? Id rather watch from the South TBH.

So would I personally, which is where I will be. However, some people don't like being with the rabble behind the sticks.



Edit: Obviously I won't be with you lot in the South, I'll be with the more refined folk in the North.

The West Stand is a bit like Bournemouth or Lytham St Annes. It's the place you go to when you're ready to die.

Do they have Fish and Chips?

Personally I think the food at the stadium is either too posh for the hospitality or it is a bit naff like a pie or hotdog... they need something inbetween like fish and chips or steak and chips

wouldn't go off anything the e-ticketing site tells you! although saying that its ticketmaster rather than wigans' doing so i beleive...

Fair do's I suppose - Didnt think of it like that. Would it not be an idea for the club to now discount any single tickets tho? Get em flogged for a tenner, at least get some revenue for em and make sure every seat is sold.

I know if I wanted to go but there were only singles so I had to sit on my own, it could put me off, however if these were offered at a tenner for example, I think that could be the clincher for some to buy em regardless.

It looks like some of the NHS allocation has been released in East Stand 1(Matt?).

At the current rate (200 tickets sold/day) we should sell out by Thursday. However, will the fact that some seats be on their own affect this?
