Wow....bring's back some memories that montage does!
It's weird watching that Lancs Cup Final at KR against Oldham as a mate of mine was run over by a van and killed the day before aged 15. (Especially as it was nearly 25 years ago).

slightly o/t-best drop goal
Joe lydon's long range kick in the semi final at main road, will always feel priviliged to have been there watching it float over in slow motion'" Yeah that was fantastic, I was at the game but have watchedit on video several times since and remember Alex Murphy saying 'boy did he give that some pago' and it might even be the same game where I think it was Murphy who said 'if he's got a bad leg, I'll have two of them.' On the subject of best tries, the Hanley one at Wembley v Saints is one of my favourites of all time but far more recently I think that Amos Roberts' try v Wakefield which ended in his injury is one of the best individual tries I have seen in years and I'm not sure about on here but on other forums the quality of the try went largely unnoticed because of the way it ended. This season we have been lucky as fans to see some fantastic team and individual efforts this year some of which are worthy of watching over and over again. If anyone wants reminding of them, Marc on the other forum has been doing a try of the month competition since March and its on the well known video sharing website. In my opinion April in particular was a great month but they're all worth another look. Even if we fail to win a trophy this year, don't get me wrong I'd be disappointed but nobody can say we've not been entertaining or not provided good value for money.

Pah, been like watching paint dry
On a personal note of those I've seen Joel's try at Wire or his one at home to Wakey were special but Calderwood's third at the Dulls in 'The Comeback' sticks most in the memory.
Oh and Feka's on Good Friday this year (and his one at Hull KR last season) for their sheer simplicity and brutality... [iget out of my effing way....[/i

| I think for sheer joy after the try was scored, I'd have to go for Calderwood's 3rd at Bradford.
As aleady mentioned, Carney's at Headingley in the '03 playoff was pretty special, and Joel's try at Wire this year was a nice one to witness!

| Another great and crucially important try was ( if I remember correctly!) in the last league game of the season against Castleford in 94. It was the night of the new shirt launch and we had parachutists landing on Central Park before the game. Wigan were trailing 12-0 after 2 early Cas tries when Offiah went to acting halfback about 15 yards from the Wigan line ( Spion Kop end, left hand corner, quite close to where we were sitting in the Douglas Stand). He went on one of his arcing runs ( not dissimilar to Wembley 94), seemed to beat over half the Cas team and scored in the top right hand corner. That launched the Wigan comeback.
It was also the game when with Wigan leading by about 6 points Cas broke and Edwards flew across and tackled the winger into touch - one of those fanastically timed efforts where the momentum rolled him into touch - again right opposite us. That brought just as loud a cheer as the Offiah try - we knew then we'd be champions - again!
