Just read the great news on Warriors website that George Carmont has signed a 12 month contract for 2012. What a fantastic boost for us. We all wish him well for his extended stay. Been one of the best buys we have made from Australia.

My tribute is the Exiles shirt I bought with his name on.A signature on the back would be a nice touch 
It's nice to see a guy that always plays with such commitment get the rewards he deserves. The club went to him and asked him to stay because we're struggling in that position and the guy has put his own personal life on the back burner to do so.

Anyone who links stats as if that tells the whole picture is clueless, a 30 yard pass is equal to a simple 5 yard 2v1 pass in the try assists, a big 1v1 tackle is equal to a thir man in hit.... stats mean very little, useful for people who don't watch games though.  |

George is well aware of this thread and the petition and how well he is respected by the wigan club and fans.
He was actually a little overawed with it all. He contacted me on the facebook 'one more year' account a couple of weeks ago and was the reason the petition was suspended at the time, as he was a little uncomfortable with all the attention.
Didn't want to feed this back at the time as wanted to respect his privacy while he considered next year, but it just serves to show that not only is he a great player, but also a great and unassuming person.
