Try aside - we looked better the minute Forber got on the field.

Not this week for me. I am happy with Bevan having as little involvement as possible. It's more important him just getting through most of the game of the full 80 and getting everything moving again.

Happy to be in it at 12-12. We can't keep making such basic errors and to me it's a concentration issue and always is. I get what people are saying about energy but I don't think the energy has been poor, it's the focus that needs sharpening IMO.

Better. Keep our concentration and composure and the fans over there can have a good night (sure they will anyway).

Everything about Forber is what you want from a hooker. If O'Neill was fit, Leeming wouldn't be getting a look in for me.

Definitely looked sharper with Forber on tonight. I'd look at starting him next week.

Much better second half. Either what Peet has said or Forber coming on has changed it. Leeming's defence in the middle is often shaky - O'Neill is miles better in that aspect.

Nsemba is incredible. Best prospect we've had for a long time. Even in defence he's smashing experienced pros (McMeeken and Garcia).

Him, Nsemba, Field and Thompson have dragged us right back in the game with their energy. They are pulling the team with them in this second half.

His distribution is top class - hope to god we haven't let him go to Salford as was rumoured.

Outstanding from Forber. Just that extra bit of speed in delivery has made all the difference. I think Leeming has had enough games this year to be deemed as an underwhelming signing (and we’ve had a few in this current batch so far). Nsemba the outstanding player of the night by far.

Leeming has been terrible tonight. He is constantly putting us under pressure. Just shows how important a hooker can be.

(Apart from tonight) I wouldn't say he has been terrible overall but he hasn't been good enough either.

Paying Leeming a fortune I presume on his four year deal. He just seems to act like an idiot and is so petulant for someone who is supposed to be a model pro when it comes to training.

Wakey are splashing out. Wonder if they want him. If it's true Forber has agreed a move to Salford then try and offload Leeming and give Salford about 30 grand to cancel the deal.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that Leeming challenge.

We need that rumour to be false. No way can we go in to a season with one hooker. Salford rumoured to be looking at Davis from London, who is a hooker, so hopefully there's nothing in it.

A lot to review in that game.


The good is digging in and getting the win, minutes for Bevan and Nsemba being phenomenal and pummelling everyone in attack and defence. Thompson again for being the only prop of our rotation to turn up.

The bad is our discipline and our front row rotation. Byrne, Mago and particularly Dupree are killing their teammates with lacklustre effort and attitude. Throw in Walters who again lacks the work ethic to be a top player with us. Any news on Farrell for next week?

Thought Byrne was good tonight, Dupree and Walters generally fine bar Walters getting caught for Catalans' first try.

Doing my best to like Walters but he just pi££es me off with his lethargic runs. He is 6ft 7, get him on some 1000 calorie shakes in the off season and lock the door to the gym with him inside of it and don't let him out until he can lift more than a cotton bud.

Whoever posted the other day about Peet saying he wants Dupree to stand out and not fit in nailed where I’m at with our signings.

How do you drop Nsemba for Farrell?

It needs someone to stick one on him and see if he’s got anything about him. Nsemba has ruined any reputation Walters had as a player with promise this season.

It was Byrnes best game in a while. In fact I thought all 3 props on the bench were better tonight.

The more I watch Walters, the more I just don't see a Wigan player but there is time for that to change. He doesn't look to have that switch he can flick, that many of our players do, where they go in to that big game mode of concentrating and playing with pace and intensity.

The back end of this season and pre season next year could make or break things for him.
