| Got my 2 yesterday but contemplated drawing cash to avoid £2.50 x 2.
It would have cost for petrol and time lost at work so, they've got a fiver off me.
Originally went for the car park too as I had done for years - £2.50 x 3 !!!
There's no choice of card as you'd expect when buying on line, so no way of avoiding the charge.

| So now the renewal deadline has gone, anyone know how many STs have been sold and how it compares with this time last year?
(I know 6000 were sold at some point last week)
The club are noticeably quite on the subject of sales which suggests a significant dip in take up.

Chicago, the windy city.
Have fun. I believe early sales of Wigan tv were something like 20% overseas.

| The club said they were approaching 7,000 a few days before they extended the renewal deadline.
I can't see sales being anything but down but if they can creep it up to 8,500-9,000 they'll be doing pretty well.

| The last time the club said anything about season tickets it was that sales were ahead of the same time last year.
The thought not to renew never occured to me.
Fixtures are out, squad details announced and season tickets bought.
Looking forward to next season already!

| I've not renewed this year for a couple of reasons. Financial and the fact that my lad now trains with Wigan Harriers on a Friday night.
Kids are rubbish. They spoil everything!

Saints have been selling them since June. Wigan have been selling them for about a month.
But to answer your question I guess we'll find out in February.

| I think it will even out a bit like last year. In the end it does not matter who is ahead on season ticket sales so long as over all the trend is up for everyone. I think most Saints fans where expecting a drop off this year with the novelty factor gone. But actually sales have held up remarkably well considering the moans on the net about the style of rugby.
I think we have to accept that whilst we are a noisy lobby on the net, we are not an accurate reflection of the opinions of RL fans in general.
We all have our moans about the game but from the perspective of fan numbers, club wise they are still on the up despite the general opinion on the net over the quality of the game and the exodus' to RU and NRL. As always where we really fall down from the likes of RU is having a regular international fixture list that bolsters the club game.
IMHO

| Many will hate me here. I have been a season ticket holder for I think 24 years with first my son and myself then son, wife and daughter and me which has evolved to still 4 tickets wife, son, his wife, and me. However we have come to a stage when the quality, the games and frankly Rugby League and the way it is run have made it should we shouldn't we and we have NOT renewed.
If you look at how the games are arranged we have 2 matches within 7 days , no matches for 4/5 weeks or more I think this is more like 6 weeks and as we all know what does it matter, too many non events and perhaps 4 matches at home worthy of paying.
I could go on and give a view that last year we had a really good squad let down by a coach who thinks he is right about everything and will not change. Great sentiments if you win, not so when you get found out.
However this is nothing to do with win or lose as in my view one of the best seasons was when we were going down and we recovered and it was only the RFL (isn't it always) that said we broke the spirit of the game that in my view stopped us going on to win the Grand Final. How these jokers can get away with what they say with clubs been given licences and a few months later being bailed otu is just a joke and I think unfortunately our game has become a joke. Too many matches decided by crazy decisions etc.
So as you can see we (not just me but wife, son etc.) have become disillusioned with the quality and entertainment making so sadly a third rate sport.
We have great viewing figures but if anybody actually looks at the annual accounts in detail you will see that our biggest source of income is a Government grant, most would think his should be TV money not so, do you know what the TV deal is try to find it, the people that run this game take large salary's but frankly would you want them running your company.
