Well done big man, calling somebody a clown because they dont agree with peoples moans is really big and clever.

So you call somebody a clown when in your opinion theyve made a ridiculous suggestion?
Just because you think its ridiculous doesnt mean it is does it?
Everybody is entitled to their opinion whether you like them or not.

| Great idea about the grotto
The back area of the store is full of stock from floor to celing ,
We should wait till the unit that the Wigan skills centre occupy becomes available and look at up sizing to there IMO , but with that the rent will go up etc etc

| i think part of the problem with what the club have tried to achieve is that they have gone for the shopping centre with the highest footfall (grand arcade)
the galleries appears to be on its A*** these days and more of a walk through than a shopping centre
We could have a large shop in there but miss out on passing trade
What i believe we have done is gone for the biggest we could realistically afford within the best shopping centre in the town centre. however you have to make sacrifices for that i.e no changing rooms, small retail area. however the offset to that is we are right besides Debenhams (must be one of busiest shops in Wigan) so will get a lot more passing trade
As some have already pointed out there are those loyal fans who will always buy the merchandise
I personally always buy at least 1 shirt plus training gear. Where the shop is does not influence my decision

| Best idea for the shop would be to get rid of the stockroom at the back and have that as changing rooms.
We still have the lotto shop near the old ground so then surely that could be used for stock and they could source the club shop from there?
OK its not ideal but realistically unless there is suddenly a massive rush on something your only going to be looking at re-stocking once a day and could get the manager to do that on their way into work by calling at the lotto shop?

The Hilton st shop is in dire need of repair from last winter , by all accounts it needs a new roof and got flooded ,
To have stock moved across town is not really a viable option . The way the new gear is selling would mean someone back and forth all day as some items are going as soon as they are being put on display . It's just not possible to get a fitting room on the shop floor or any where in the store .

There's no chance of that; someone would have to rush across town all day long and it'd be a pain for everyone. They could get a stock room in the galleries though in order to change the existing stock room into a changing room but it's still a pain and then there's the extra cost. Surely a more viable option would be waiting for a bigger shop to come along.
Not been in the Grand Arcade shop for ages as I tend to do most of my shopping online; do we still have that Warriors Way thing next to the shop and if we do, can that be changed into changing rooms? Or is that actually some kind of walkway?

| Warriors way is a walkway out to the Civic Centre & Millgate Car-Parks.
There is a huge amount of space above, which Debenhams have, but I beleive aren't currently using. I dont know what rent they'd want, or if there is easy access.
