That's not to say they won't, but that Saints team was held together by sellotape after the 2 games with Leeds.'"
Oh, another of these mythical 'more even playing fields'. How long have you guys been dining out on this sort of thing now - 10 years?
You got a lucky bounce, pal. Deal with it.

Deal with what? Beating you again? Being top of the league?
Fact is Saints were shot and a better side would have taken advantage. I expect Murrayfield to be a more accurate reflection, having not played Leeds twice in a fortnight.

Wigan lost (in a match where they gave pretty much everything they had) with the advantages of playing at home and freshness.
Looking at Wigan's results and league position - QED.

Wigan went to a Challenge Cup Final with players sellotaped together and still won easily. Against St Helens of all teams

The Communist Cap - dragging down success and aspiration to the levels of those who cba.: |
|
| Quote: Mugwump "Wayne Bennett would struggle to coach this Wigan side. To put it simply, it doesn't have enough quality players to compete with the top teams.
If Noble - alone - is responsible for transfer activity then the buck stops with him. If there is interference from the board then Noble can't be blamed. Especially if he didn't want players X, Y & Z in the first place.'"
This is the bit that confuses me.
IMO there is not a chance in hell that Noble would go into a season "light" in the front row, yet here we are.
Something's going on there imo.

We were certainly lucky to be playing a team that can't attack.

| A team proves it's worth over the course of a season, Saints were knackered, and we put in our best performance so far.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

I'm assuming everyone can see the very obvious connection. Maybe I have to spell it out for some.
Simple. If there was no CC there would be VERY little "Fielden bashing" on here. He would be accepted as a "solid" workhorse prop who defends very well.
Still with me?
HOWEVER. The real issue most have with Fielden is that he allegedly takes up a high proportion of the CC. This impacts SF in 2 ways.
1. Less people to "share the workload"
2. Increased pressure on him to perform.
3. Increased pressure on BN to pick him. (or effectively play with a reduction of 15% to your CC).*
Take away the CC, the anti SF posts would tumble.
* If rumours are to be believed.
