I think we have to try and keep Phelps in around the middle of the pitch if at all possible.

His best game by far for us(although still a few big errors) so i'd be loathed to move him.

interesting line up but gleeson is a centre. i know he can play stand off but we have been crying out for a class centre for years who can distribute to his winger. would be a waste imo to puthim to stand off when we have sam. would much rather perservere with sam/tommy then move a strike to the middle of the park and leave our wingers starved of possesion like recent years

yeah youve got a point with phelps' defencive frailties at centre. perhaps just swap him and gleese around then at centre and S/o. Would like to see tommy do a full game at hooker tho....and gleeson in the s/o position at some point....actually think they are both players natural positions and often where they have had their best games.

I completely agree, had O'carrol, Preccy or Coley been playing like him recently they would have been dropped. Yet Fielden still gets picks and not only that he is in the starting line up. Coley was playing rubbish so he was dropped for the hull game at the start of the season and i think there has been an improvement - why cant the same be done for Stuart Fielden???

Pat wouldn't have come up with the cut out pass for Ainscough's try.

An emergency passport can be obtained very quickly. Did they not do the rounds as a matter of procedure a couple of weeks back?

Yeah, that's right, this is the clubs fault.. Obvioulsy a 26year old bloke can't be trusted with his passport, how did they not see this coming!

sorry mate. I hate it when no one believes me.!!! apaarently he has lost his passport and not got on the plane at liverpool this morning. i asked the obvious question will he be joining them later before game and was told no because it is bank holiday and the passport office is shut sunday monday.

no more dummy spitting from me, just gutted the lad is not playing. if he turns up i will run naked round wigan!!

Well anyone can lose their passport. It happens.

However, the club should have checks in place to minimise these eventualities. A simple "we are off to France in a couple of weeks, can you all check to see that you have a valid passport" would do.

I'm not sure how you can be sure they didn't do this? How do you know he didn't lose it on the way to the airport. Infact, how do we know it's been lost? Are you 100% its true clifford?

If this is true he needs a serious kick up the backside. He is supposed to be a professional. If I missed a meeting overseas because I had lost my passport I would be disciplined.

Didn't Leuluai supposedly lose his passport last year, yet he played in France a couple of days later.

I am 100% sure that this has just been told word for word to me that he is not in france in the hotel with the team. I believe the poor lad has lost his passport however is this the spin doctors at work? he was not training prior to the Barrow game but resumed training prior to saints game and bloody played well

. All i know is he wont be in France this weekend and people are very ed off.

If he is injured fair enough he was limping at half time.
