God forbid someone sticks up for the club, or players? Why don't we turn this into the other site I.e. none of them are good enough, drop them all etc. The fact a Wakey fan is sarcastically saying 'stars', to a team that won everything last year is laughable. Sad that, apparently, some Wigan fans seem to agree. We don't get the respect that we deserve, so I'll not apologise for biting back.

| Frustrating to see so many players play within themselves last night, but I always go back to a season where under Wane we were blowing teams off the park in the middle of the season but ran out of steam come play offs.
It's not great as a fan but we know that the coaches will be focusing on preparing for peaking to the play offs so these spells will happen as we have seen in the past. One player we are missing especially last night was Walters - he's quickly become our most dynamic prop.
As fans it's still valid to query some of the tactic though - mine would be why we don't spell more of the players - I think Faz has played almost every game, give Smith a break and play Farrimond....

I've got a tremendous amount of respect for the Wigan club, it's whole ethos is what every team should aspire to achieve. Likewise I have nothing but admiration for Matty Peet and (most) of your fans. My use of 'stars' was to highlight the fact that too many of your team last night looked as though they believed that they only had to turn up to win, and played as though grafting for the win was beneath them. One eyed fans like you try and avoid that harsh truth by diverting your opprobrium onto opposition fans, but truth be told that's just a display of your ignorance.

Like I said - tell yourself whatever makes you feel happy. Harsh truth - it is beneath them & it's holding the sport back. What's the motivation for playing away at Hudds/Dewsbury, Wakefield & Cas? Its a dull prospect as a fan, nevermind as a player. It's the same as the FA Cup, big team goes to the minnows and either scrape a victory, or get beat. The reason? Al the motivation is skewed to one side. I want big games, in modern stadia. Rivalries that mean something etc. Instead we got last night.

Trouble with you is that you can't accept that sport is about competition and respect. If you had your way Wigan would be playing Wigan reserves, then you couldn't lose. I suspect that's part of your problem, you think playing with yourself is preferable to any consideration for others.

You want it, until you don't.

| Mate it’s not worth arguing with this thing. Its whole life depends on Wigan doing well, without it the thing is nothing. When things go wrong all it can do is spit out invective in an attempt to save its empty life. All clubs have them, but thanks to the efforts of the players and not clowns like this, he’s more entitled than most. It’s a massive issue in the U.K. today. Whether it be Brexit or the chuffin X Factor, nobody can take defeat gracefully anymore. What the fool misses is that it did nake a huge difference, he’s just too thick to work it out. To all reasonable Wigan fans. Trinity are not a small club anymore, just like HKR aren’t. We have a fabulously rich owner, an ever improving stadium and supporter base. Last night will have encouraged Ellis ever more. He has stated that we will be challenging for full honours by 2027. That was only one win and it won’t stop Wigan being favourites for the title. But it’s one step closer for us, showing as we have all season that we can challenge the best and doing so with a very new and untried set of players. Two quota spots free for next year and almost any British player within our price range, let’s see how we shape up. Then by 2027 this game could be very meaningful indeed. Enjoy your day Kingy

| Heard it all before. The new dawn for Wakefield or Castleford. We'll all believe it when we see it. .
What I will say however is this - it would be sad f*ing day if it did happen.
Imagine that write up in the nationals and ridicule it will bring the sport off the back of it - the champions are from Wakefield.
Every fan should be worried about that.

Absolutely - great to see Wakefield doing well and they may even be dangerous in the playoffs this year if they can get the forward pack together at the right time. Always great to see progressive clubs backed with some finance and starting to become the best they can be - Hull KR, Leigh and Wakefield are all good examples of that. Unfortunately other clubs have regressed - see Warrington, Catalans, Saints, Castleford, Salford. I understood Matt Peets point at the end of the game when he said he almost preferred Friday's game to the last few weeks. We've played an abject Catalans, a Salford side in ruins and a Huddersfield team at a ground not fit for top flight sport. Hopefully there will be plenty of very competitive games against Wakefield over the coming years.

Jesus you sound like an utter gimp and an embarrassment to the Wigan Club, that’s if you are actually a fan. Even Peet was gracious in defeat and what Wakey are doing. You’re obviously a Troll, probably one of those weirdos with about 8 profiles pretending to be different club fans etc.
