| I think he will be fine for the Ashes. He is targeting Cas at H on the 21st Sept which is over a month from the first Ashes game. He's also naturally a quick healer, he came back a couple of weeks early from his hamstring last year.
From a Saints point of view, not that we were ever going to be winning the comp but the season is a write off if it wasn't before.
Unless Sailor turns into a Bevan French we are goosed.
Roll on 2026!

| It's a shame he's injured - he's a good player, who at least keeps them competitive. The league can't afford a poor Saints side.
That being said, why is it that we never face Saints when they've got a few out? Or at least when we aren't missing a few as well? Both him and Murphy will be back by the time we next play them.
Whenever they've got a few out (home game last year, or Magic) we've been missing guys like French, Thompson, Smith etc as well.
They really are due a tonking off us at some point. God knows they've given us a few in the past.

Fingers crossed with Welsby. Above any player, I really think we need him fit and in form because the drop off in quality after him is massive. He also just has that attitude of not thinking beating the Aussies is impossible. He did it at academy level and alongside Harry Smith, was the best player in the series and he did it in Penrith. Guys like Welsby and Smith will be huge IMO because they don't have any hang ups about the Aussies, like maybe older players and fans would.

He will be missing for the Wigan game. Also whilst you had some forwards out when we played you on Good Friday we were also missing a few- Feldt, Robertson, Bell. And Hurrell

And Hurrell Haha - honestly I'm not saying that we've not benefited from it. We've won the last 3 games vs Saints. It just felt that, if we'd have had a French at Magic, or more than 2 props on GF - we'd have really put a score on you. I know we've been on the receiving end of that a few times. We owe you one back.

More chance of him turning into Dawn French. I just can't understand why Saints signed him, anyone who watched him in the NRL (on the odd occasion he played) would have realised that he wasn't a fit for Saints. Rush et al., need to concentrate on bolstering the pack in my view and keep giving the homegrown young, and talented, backs more game time.

I can't really defend Rush with our recent recruitment however with Sailor, he was signed with huge input from Briers. And to be fair Robertson (when fit) and Whitby are getting a lot of game time. I expect Dagnall to get more game time next season so there's 3 of your 1-7

You really couldnt make it up could you

However, I do agree that youth is the way to go particularly given the availability of Good SL talent and with Perth and PNG likely to hoover up any spare NRL talent.
