| Anyone watching the game back on iPlayer, I urge you to watch on mute. The commentary was utterly embarrassing.

I did wonder who from Wigan upset the commentator - talk about hyper-critical, didn't think Wigan could do any right. The footage was really bad as well though - showing replays of things whilst the game was going on constantly and showing long, long, long views of the coaches (esp Rowley) during game play as well. Really amateur all round. Game wise Wigan did what was needed some sloppy play at times and some really good play at others and at least two tries chalked off for poor decisions (although the Walters one did loook more than a touch forward).

| Only watched the last half hour, was expecting a bigger scoreline but fair play to Salford they battled well and asked a few questions. Not sure how he did before this but Vaughan looked good considering it was his first game of the year, him and Sambou have shown some promising signs for next season.

| Today kind of summed up our season for me so far with the exception of Vegas.
Low on energy, clunky and overplaying without respecting the ball.
Basically adequate but not anywhere near where we need to be yet.
Obviously I’d prefer for us to still be in the cup but given we are out the 2 weeks off comes at a good time for us to hopefully recharge and work on gelling those combinations which don’t quite seem to be firing.
It’s not a matter of being good now till October but I would still like to be entertained with good quality rugby till then.

| Fair play to Salford. Their lads dug in and had a good crack at us. They had us defending our line a good few times in that game and can hold their heads up. When you look at the teams sheets you would have predicted a higher score for Wigan
Peet has previously spoken about managing the season with peaks and troughs of intensity. I can only hope that we have been treating the last few weeks as a trough, otherwise that today was very worrying.
We had pretty much a full team out. Salford were reduced to playing half their academy. If we had applied ourselves we should have racked up a 3 digit score. Saints managed 80 and they're shight.
If we enter the end of the season in a chase for 1st place and points difference is the decider we could end up regretting not being more ruthless today.
Smith and French have both playing below par recently. After the heights they hit in Vegas it has been disappointing to see the sloppy passes, poor choices, lack of game management etc. We've got a good break before we face Hull KR and then Saints. We really need to make those of that and get these 2 back to their best

| Didn't like that game at all. We weren't there mentally and it was very sloppy. O'Neill looked good - that's a positive.
Hopefully some big improvements can be made over the next fortnight as Hull KR will beat us convincingly on currently form.

Whilst I agree it was sloppy, I think worrying too much isn’t needed (yet). It’s only March. And after the last 2 weeks, for me, today was all about winning, showing SOME decent rugby & not picking up any injuries. You’re never going to go from those last 2 games, to a Vegas (first 60) level performance, in my opinion. I’m not overly confident going to KR in 2 weeks but this team know how to grind a big game so we’ll see. And if we get beat, there’s a long way to go, yet. We’ll improve & KR will experience both injuries & a trough.

| Massive plus having O'Neil back, you just know the intensity will pick up now with him in the team. Shout out to Mago today, said it before he looks better the longer he's on the pitch, 5min cameos and it's a waste of an interchange. Fair play to Salford for never throwing the towel in. We'll find out where we are over the next four fixtures, bring it on

| its one of those games that Wigan are in a no win situation
everyone expects them to batter Salford, if they do, thats what was expected, if they dont, there is something wrong
its difficult as a player to motivate yourself in situations like yesterday, so i can understand some of the performances, and equally as a fan, we dont want to see serious drubbings as it doesnt look good for the game overall. I'm sure we would all have preferred a full strength Salford side and we win by 2 points in a tight encounter, than a canter of a win that we had yesterday, as the only real benefit to us was O'Neill getting game time and we boosted our points difference slightly
