Wigan v Wire has always been a bigger game for Wire fans than us. Fact. However due to them not being complete cannon fodder anymore it is becoming quite a big game for us Wigan fans.

The atmosphere was great at first but it died in a way it never would in a close game between Wigan and Saints. Far more mixing of fans than you'd get for Wigan Saints too felt strange. Nowhere near in the same league as our derby at either ground to be totally fair. Stood up and cheered Charnley try then supported hull for the rest of the game. Got some funny looks and walked past a few afterwards who can.'t tell the difference between a Wigan shirt and a Rovers one.... Probably because they rarely see rovers shirts in West Hull I suppose |
