I guess I'm imagining that I'm reading this question. Because you just can't be for real.

The only way you can be serious is if you are quite young and only saw the bad state he left us in.
However, if thats true then mate you seriously need to do some research on how we got to our glory period. Or maybe read this thread?????

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

For the best way to
Get to Wigan Games!
LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND.
THAT IS WHY SOME PEOPLE LOOK BRIGHT TILL YOU HEAR THEM SPEAK!: |
|
| Whatever people want to say about Mo there are a couple of things not to ignore or forget.
Whilst on the one hand you have all the success and all the trophies that was in no small part down to him you also have the fact that losing Central Park the way we did was also largely down to the way the club had been run and not down to the brief period that was under Jack.
Mo did some great things. No question.
We had some fantastic times on the back of his leadership.
But, and wether some like to face the fact or not is irreleavant, ultimately that route we took was ultimately our downfall. It bankrupted us.
Despite winning everythin on offer we were spending so much that in the eyes of Ernst and Young who the banks appointed to look into our finances we ended up "technically insolvent".
Lets not paint such a rosy picture and ignore the elephant in the room eh?
Not all was well.
But on the pitch it was bloody fantastic!

Without them taking so many risks Wigan would not be the biggest and most prestigeous club in world rugby.
That is a tag you cannot buy and somehow we have that title.
We now play in a wonderful stadium and our figures will be sorted soon once IL sorts everything out.
We are fine now, thats all that matters

| The Whitbread /Boston Stand was the real killer. It went almost 100% over budget, and there were no grants at that time for stadium redevelopment Then came the ARL / Superleague war in Australia which put the knife in and twisted it.

| I can't say I understand what your point is.
The tread was supposed to be about Mo.
So the fact that your saying "IL will soon have the figures right" and "that we are ok now thats all that matters" means what exactly? we weren't ok then?
I'm not wanting to go into a big re hash of the CP issue - i have not got the time at the minute, sadly. - but i don't see how you can ignore that when it comes to Mo as if he was in no way involved with the financial mess we ended up in.
The financial reports made it clear it was a long term problem.

Please explain why you think he jumped ship the first time around, and also explain why you think he left us in the poop?
