| Does anyone think our fans will give Douglas the amounts of abuse that Saints fans gave Vaughan and Sambou?

Not a chance, different class.

I must admit that went through my mind. The situations could be sightly different, in that I get the feeling Wigan probably weren't keen on retaining Douglas but still, he's going to the rivals over the hill. Even so, I don't think we'll see any ill feeling towards him or comments to let him rot out on loan or to have him train with the kids. I hope the move works out and he cuts a top level career for himself. He's looked a good talent whenever he's played but opportunities just haven't opened up for him.

Some on Redvee seem very immature.

| I would expect Wigan fans will be a bit more understanding in this situation.
Douglas seems a good lad, understandably given Liam and Miski's form and strengths at both ends of the [pitch there have been limited chances. From what I've seen he looks a good player, but his last showing highlighted I think how much we are used to Miski carting the ball up off our line. It's a tough ask for a young winger to force his way in against either.
He's also been behind Zak as next off the rank so I imagine he was probably looking at a clearer path to first team action. You can't knock him for that, he's been in the background for a few years now and it's his time to start getting more regular starts for the sake of his career.
Good luck to him.

He is likely to be behind Feldt, Murphy and Cross at Saints.

| No issue at all with Douglas moving to Saints - good luck to him. All seems a bit of a faff though - both Sambou and Douglas may as well stay where they are. They're both back up wingers moving to other clubs to be back up wingers. Would make more sense if either of them were going to a smaller club to start.

| The deal for Cross wasn't planned though so I think it's likely at the time he signed he would have thought to be 1st choice back up. I thought Cross would be played more at centre than wing. Feldt has only one more year on his contract I think?
