So why didn't he take the latter Aus options that Wigan provided for him?
Seems odd that he's accepted a deal at Widnes.
Has the problem that 'forced him to leave' now receded, or was it not such a problem that he wouldn't be okay just down the road?

I'm not asking for more in depth knowledge but would be grateful if you'd re-hash that which you've already posted.
Save me tracking back through a lengthy thread. Cheers.

Hock wanted out of Wigan due to an issue with Wane. Hock looks like a total idiot who's disrespected the club, Hock's reasons for living are justified, personally I would have wanted out myself if I was in the same situation.

The problem is, on one hand, you're claiming that Hock left because an issue arose so bad that you too would have wanted to leave. But on the other, you're claiming that Hock left because of an issue with Wane.
Are these issues one and the same?

Aha. So it does just boil down to a fall-out with the coach.
Following on suspiciously quickly from a demand - that some would regard as unreasonable - for a pay-rise.

The payrise and the issue are two separate matters.

| You are all crazy and daft as brushes, I am one of the people involved, I know what's gone on and if you don't believe me well that's just plain naive.
I'm not going to say on here who I am but I was certainly there and involved so beleive what I tell you as it comes first hand and I'm a trust worthy person.
Now you can trust in the truth from me or spin from the Wigan Club.

Perhaps not in the eyes of those being required to give the pay-rise.
But assuming you're right ... it all boils down to a fall-out with the coach.
As a result of which, Gareth is now at Widnes. Great agent he's got himself.

He was desperate to leave the club. Wigan have his contract, Hock couldn't sign for a rival as Wigan wouldn't allow that. Signing for Widnes for a fee was best for the club, as they want something in return for one of their star players, and of course for Gaz who really wanted out.

| No wonder the club were fed-up after a demand for ANOTHER pay rise after giving him two in the last year or so. A contract that he was happy to sign in the first place.
Quote: "We have gone to unique lengths to help him get his life back on track after his ban two years ago including increasing his Contract voluntarily on two separate occasions to help him financially against a backdrop of his threats to leave.'"

He signed a contract with the club, and the club has stood by through his problems, despite the flak they got from some fans of this club, and through the RL world. His poor contract, as he saw it, was his punishment for his unprofessionalism, and many of us in the real world would have this problem also. It still looks like he brought this on himself.
