| Was watching the Morning Line on channel 4 this morning. This bit during the paper review amused me.

When i close my laptop it doesnt go on standby (or whatever its called) like it usually does, just stays like it would when its open and the screensaver comes on after abit, any ideas on what i've done or how to change it back?

What you are looking for is to turn "hibernation" back on. Basically you PC goes into a semi sleep using very little power but keeping all your config ready to go when you decide to logon again.
have a look under "power setings" via the control pannel and you should find it in there.
Or if you have VISTA insatlled, click on the start/vista button in the bottom lefta hand corner of your screen and type "Power" into the small white text box and the icon should appear above where you have typed. |

Thank you so much, managed to get it sorted by going on the 'power settings' took me a while to find the contol panel though  Thanks again  |
