Crikey
So glad the RFL have never stepped in to micro-manage things at Wigan.

As much as it's never good to see a superleague game as farcical as that, it was pleasing to look in to the future and see young lads like Hampshire and Williams toy with an opposition defence like that. They were both exceptionally good I thought. I've been particularly impressed with Williams recently. He's grown in confidence each week and looks a real threat with ball in hand.'"
They had a defence???

| Quote: Cruncher "I'm not sorry for their fans.
After one of the two Grand Finals we lost against them in the early 2000s, my grandson and I were unfortunate enough to spend 10 minutes in a tram with a great gang of them, and were subjected to the worst behaviour I've ever seen by any RL fans in any circumstance ever.
I'm sure that lot were all the sort of fair weather supporters who would have dropped the Bulls at the first sign of trouble and now don't even remember following them, but I will never forget the events of that night. The Bradford club all but disappeared in my estimation as a result.'"
That's terrible to hear, and unfortunately these people do crop up all over the place. For what it's worth, I've had nothing but good experiences of Bradford fans, and Odsal has long been my favourite away ground because the fans have come across as the most gracious in victory and defeat over the years.
Obviously we will all only ever meet a small amount of a supporter base, so there's always the chance that we have different experiences of the extremes. So in contrast I can't help but feel bad for what's happened to Bradford over the last few years.

Those days makes you really appreciate what has happened to us from 2010 onwards.
You were the lucky one to miss the game. Seriously the first set of 6 and you knew it was going to be a very big score. I do think that Hunslet will gie a better account than Bradford did.
I really think its time to end the 2 game Easter bank holiday players needs time to recover and the beatings we gave Hull Kr and the Bulls on the last 2 Easter mondays does not do the game any good. Whilst some of the tries were impressive and it was good to see so many youngsters on display it shows how bad sides really are. I did not enjoy the game as it was a non contest but boy we do have some incredible young talent atm.

Think Cas and Widnes might want to keep the Easter Monday fixtures

But the turnaround is the same for all sides, no-one gains any advantage from it. It's suposed, in theory, to benefit clubs with bigger squads, but as already pointed out, Cas & Widnes put paid to that argument, as did saints

No! That just panders to the "everyone is equal and nobody loses" brigade. Whilst well meaning it is absolute and no good will ever come of it.

| The Easter fixtures debate is an interesting one. It is certainly anachronistic, but it seems to me that clubs who have a problem with it, only have a problem with it now and then. We slaughtered Hull KR on Easter Monday last year - when they quite blatantly came out without intending to try. A year later, when they faced lesser opposition, they were more than willing to have a go, and lost a lot more closely.
I do think we need to think very carefully about the Easter weekend, but in a domestic season now so lacking in 'event', we slay yet another of our sacred cows at our peril. This year, some of the league's better teams (on paper at least) - Warrington and Saints - got battered on Easter Monday, so there's no hard and fast rule about this part of the programme only advantaging the strong.

| easter weekend is all about managing the squad and making sure you have sufficient depth to cope. No point having the best 17 man squad on paper and little else to back it up as injuries will hit at sometime and players lose form due to fatigue, you need another good 8 players as back up plus the youngsters coming through to make a 35+ squad to call on

| Well to get back to the CC game the on-line ticket buying process has improved in that you can now print your own tickets.
There is also no booking fee (which used to be charged per ticket in some instances) and no postage fee given you print them so if you are a long distance supporter like myself this is very good.
Also I was able to select the right concession for my son (student season ticket holder) from a drop down menu so was able to purchase two tickets for £16 with no extra costs added on top.

Nice to be able to do that, but the cost of all that red ink probably outweighs the booking fee.
The only important bit is the barcode anyway, so if anyone is printing their own, do so in black & white instead of full colour (and if you've 5 seconds to spare, crop off the adverts to save even more toner - there's no need for a full A4 page FFS).
