Chris Froome won the tour de france and got absolutely nowt, yet the year before Wiggins got the top gong.
Halfpenny getting 2nd must have meant half of wales had voted.

Never expected us to get owt from last night, I think the days of rugby league being recognised at SPOTY are well and truly over. I thought we did well to get the 60 second airtime we got, as normally we don't get that. It made me laugh though when we had that bit regarding the town and our achievements this year which was followed by claire balding saying "that moved us nicely on to the team of the year" and we Wernt even in the 3. Pmsl. |

Seeing as the Lions won team of the year and Warren Gatland won coach of the year it's hardly surprising that the man of the series was up there. The Lions is huge in this country, probably the biggest event in RU hence why such a big deal was made of winning the series.
Also, Bradley Wiggins didn't just win the Tour De France, he was the 1st Brit to do so ever. Add to that his Olympic gold medal and it's easy to see why his achievements were ranked higher than Froome's (whose win is still a huge achievement). |

ALL WIGAN SUPPORTERS MUST
1. Wigan must not win a hard fought struggle in appalling conditions, nilling the opposition and scoring 16 points, because that makes for the worst CC Final of all time.
2. Wigan must not get to the final by nilling the opposition and scoring 70 points with a display of attacking rugby because that makes for the worst CC Semi Final of all time.
3. Wigan players must not consider winning the game but devote all their efforts to entertaining neutral fans. Just like all the other teams do...
4. Wigan fans must not mention winning the CC Final, as that is arrogant.
5. Wigan fans must not mention winning the Challenge Cup 19 times, or indeed any other Trophies, as that is very arrogant indeed.
6. Wigan fans must not attend actual games. It is now compulsory to stay at home, watch on TV and moan about how low attendances at games are.: |

But also Froome is African. I know others are such as Mo and KP. But when they did his individual slot to promote him it was done with more of his heritage about being African. I cant see too many people voting for him after that. |
