He's just an awful referee in general. Iv been watching the championship this season and there are far better referees in the lower leagues than this clown

Why are Leeds fans trying to pass this off as a "Lazy challenge" ????

The definition of a lazy challenge is one is which the tackling player either makes a late grab or catches the man with a fairly loose, pretty much stationary arm around the head.

The "tackle" from McGuire, last night, was a full-blooded, full-speed challenge, during which his right arm was fully cocked back, before swinging it forward in to the head of a man who was unable to see it coming.

Please watch the replays before passing this off as a "nothing" incident or a result of simple tiredness.

It should have carried EXACTLY the same punishment as MM - Red card + 3 matches.

You can't be sin binned for a head shot unless there's been a warning given previously.

He was bad for both sides, with that i agree... But for those saying that the penalty count did end up in Cats favour, i agree, but it should have been a much bigger difference. I would like to see sin bins being used early next season, instead of the cop out of "On report". And if they are REALLY not seeing these events on the field of play, time for new officials.

For those Leeds fans turning up, and as they do, just before and after our clubs clash, we have been talking about the refereeing standards all season, and not just for our own games.

Isn't he a Builder in Australia or something like that, we should try and bring back Greg McCallum or even Bill “Hollywood” Harrigan, either would be 100% better than Scummings, then once one of them where in place both of the Hethringtons should be band from professional RL for life, the RFL are whole different kettle of fish

Smith is a video ref in the NRL.

The main problem is the sheer inconsistancies.

Yep, the only thing that appears to be consistent is the inconsistency of the match officials in recent seasons.

Like I said in a prior post a total overhaul of the match officials department in the RFL needs to take place to sort this problem out.

The trouble is, when you get a job at the RFL you've got a job for life. Nobody is accountable for their performance. Joke of an organisation.

Simple rule change can be, the 'On Report' rule carries an automatic sin bin.

No - Just like there's no recompense for Catalans having to play against 13 men for 30 minutes or so, when it was clear that Leeds should have been down to 12. And even worse, the fact that the offending player went on to score a further 7 points.

I still don't see when there is an incident like last nights why the video ref can't step in. On video replay its obviously at least a sin bin. So why can't he just pass that info on? Its not like it would slow the game down its already stopped while the touch judges and ref stop and bottle it
