| Sorry to be picky, but I thought his kicking was a bit off tonight. Maybe he was trying too hard or feeling the pressure.
Anyone see how far off that touchline kick was off target at the end as all the South Stand seemed to think it was over?
Also a pity he hit the post in the first half.
Having said that a brilliant season by the big lad, well done!

| Why didn't they give him that ball at the scrum with a few minutes left? He even ran over to take it.
Well Done Pat

I think Joel had the same thought at the end when he put goulding in at the corner

| Legends in my eyes is'nt just about points scored,it's the attitude passion and the fact that some guys bleed cherry and white blood, edwards, faz, wane for example.Tonight I was wishing for pat to break the record because I love the fact that a wigan player is again pushing the limits.Pat will be an all time great in wigan history but even if he had beaten faz's record by 10 points I think the legand status still belongs to faz.just my opinion mind.

| In all fairness and on reflection now I'm at home with a celebratory Tetleys I don't think it would have been sporting of Pat to snatch the record with a drop goal from that scrum, if you get my meaning? A drop goal at that point in the game was not needed and would have been "natural". Does that make sense?

| Best possible outcome.
Gets his name in the record books, whilst the legend that is Andy Farrell will also remain there.

I think there were around 17,000 people all hoping for the same thing.
After the first-half (note 20-0 again! ), i think Paaaaaaaat getting the record was the main thing on a lot of peoples minds.
Gutted that last kick didnt go over. Think he really was feeling the weight of history tonight.
But to put himself up alongside Faz is still one mighty effort.
Top bloke - Wigan legend!

| You have all missed the most important thing about Pat Richards, in that he is a team player.
In the second half he had just the fullback to beat, which I believe he could have done. However what he did was to pass the ball inside to Liam Farrell for Farrell to score. Sadly Liam dropped the ball and the opportunity was lost.

It was going over till about 5 yards from the posts when it started to drift, gutted for him.

Does it balls mate, a Richards drop goal would've brought the house down.

Indeed it would have! 16,900 Wigan fans were screaming for him to go for the 'one'.
