| I remember a similar thread to this being started on the old version of this forum (Peapoi might recall?).
Probably back-end of the 90's / very early 00's - Stating that the Whino's games had become more important than the Saints Derby.
Like Wire this year, Leeds games did mean far more in terms of league position back then.
But 'bigger' than THE Derby??
Not in a million years. 
I dislike Wire in my thoughts - But for the Saints? It comes from my heart & soul!
And i know which one means the most... |

Kevin Ashcroft is a joke, Wigan could be top of the league and Saints at the bottom of the league and Wig v Sts would still be the biggest derby........period.

I agree with the rest Saints is your Derby.
What I don't get though is when Wigan fans would rather Saints win then Wire can't understand that.

Never.
This season, it may well be a bigger fixture because of what's riding on it at the top of the league, but as an actual derby match, it's not got a cat in hell's chance of competing with Wigan v Stains.

From my own personal view, it's because of a number of Warrington fans and the way they've conducted themselves on this board over the past 2 seasons. I know that's petty of me, and I'm not including you in that category, but we've had a metric load more Warrington idiots stirring up crap on here than Saints ones for a very long time. |
