Think he just needs to get up to speed in defence IMO.

His attack is bob on, its like hes never been away. Superb offloader of the ball.

But Is he worth the risk in a final?

Wembley is a big pitch and a lot of energy is list thru nerves and he's not near match fitness.

I'm sure maguire will make the correct choice, it seems he gets most calls slot on.

I wouldnt pick him for wembley at this moment in time no, like I said his defence needs to get up to speed yet. But I wouldnt say he is very very unfit like you said. He has looked after himself extremely well while hes been away, credit to him.

Is it worth giving Eamon O'Carroll a run in the 1st team against Bradford? How's he been doing in the 20s?

Have to agree here, too much of a risk in a final at this stage. The step up in intensity for the Wire CC game showed he's not quite there yet for me.

Don't you think that may be the reason he was played today!!!! MM is opening his options!! FFS,

You can't always play your best team... Players get injured. Should he be brought in "cold" if we need him!!!!

Where on earth did that little rant come from?!?

I never said play your best team every week, I'm aware people get injured, and yes, that is the reason I think he played today. My comment was agreeing with someone on Hock's suitability for the CC Final.

So don't 'FFS' me.

Shame for Ben.

Did anyone else not laugh though after he sustained the injury and just ran off the pitch? Then about 30 seconds later Coley ran on icon_lol.gif

He was brilliant today, only bettered by Sam.
He ran strongly, always a handful, tackled well and his offloads, often with two or three in the tackle, were sublime.

Wouldnt have made Wembley anyway I dont think. I think Hock will, from the bench with Prescott, Coley & McIllorum. I can see Faz being the one to miss out for Hock.

Cross is a blow, and its cruel luck, but we need to look forward.

He remains an excellent signing for Widnes next year.
