We didnt play as well as we could but defence was very solid and Salford didnt really look like scoring at all. Why the hell we didnt pass to Pat more was beyond me! We swung it out wide to him twice and he scored both times, if we had done it more he would of scored more. Goulding looked like he could of scored a couple in corner in 1st half as well but he didnt manage it. All in all a good day with other results going our way.

I was worried about this match tbh, missing a few players and Salford on a high, really pleased we won it. Salfords defence was fantastic but luckily ours was better. Our kicking game improved both sam and deacon, think they only kicked one bad one between them. Just a few dropped balls let us down, it seemed like we were trying to score every time we had the ball but we didnt need that, sometimes the dirty work just needs to be done. Upwards & onwards anyway, bring on Sheffield

Maybe if you went to the game you would have a different opinion, he was brilliant today.

It's been a good day for us. I thought we made the game harder for ourselves then it should have been at times but we got the win in the end.

Pat Richards is going to smash all sorts of records if he keeps this form up. He's so consistant in his play that sometimes he possibly doesn't get the praise he deserves.

IMO if we hadnt lost to bradford we would have lost one of the games we have won, teams would have tried that little bit harder to be the first team to beat us.

Dismal attendance, though after the ludicrously low travelling numbers from Wakefield on Easter Monday, that's no surprise.

I have no time for people droning on about the need to support the "heartlands" when some of the so-called heartland clubs have so little strength in either supporter base or player base that they offer very little to the game. At least the expansion clubs help project an image of the game which is attractive to its main financial backer - Sky - and sponsors and encourage amateur clubs in new areas. Clubs like Wakefield need to buck up their ideas or be booted out of SL.

Gotta disagree there mate.

You can't build a house without good foundations and i think it's a principle which works for expansion as well.

The problem is we are using the wrong heartland clubs Widnes should be in over Wakey & Salford and probably Cas as well.

I wanna see SL strengthen its core before it moves into areas battling with sports like RU who punch far above our weight.
