Smith only complains about the VR when his team loses due to the decisions.
When they win thanks to VR correct decisions he keeps quiet.
Well, there's a strage thing!

Without the video ref we'd have lost that game on Saturday without question but all the decisions were just about right and what the video ref does is stop all the whining and moaning about refs from the coaches after games.

We don't want to end up like football and having every coach coming out and blaming the referee when they lose.

TBH i thought smith had more class than this to go crying about something when his team loses. Would he have said this if Warrington had won? Would he hell. Gone down in my estimations, hes almost as bad as Millward!

Literally the first time i've heard him say anything about a ref yesterday. He normally just says he's happy even when we lost 4-0, 5-0 or even 9-1

I was thinking more along the lines of Wenger, Benitez,Ferguson, Bruce, Allardyce etc etc.

It gets boring after they've blamed the ref for the 457th time.

Smith is a critic of the VR in general. He's mentioned this several times in the past. I agree every time and always prefer Sunday afternoon games where you get a decision there and then.

Saying that, Bentham's calls were all spot on Saturday.

Smith isn't moaning as it cost us the game - he seems to feel it disrupts the pace of the game in general.

Smith tells lots of lies, dont believe him. Look at the size of his nose!

Their is alot of dislike for each other.But i do not blame you as warrington have caused trouble in widnes over the years.In the 80s their was fights in old cow sheds and used to spill onto the pitch.I was a young lad then.Even when they played at stobarts they smashed one of our pubs and we are in a different league.I must admit i am glad wigan beat the wire.

If it was at the DW Stadium you wouldnt of got as many decisions go your way as they did on Saturday night. We could live with the pace you had far more possession in the first half and we werent helped by 50/50 decisions that most of the time went your way.

It's typical local paper journalism. There is no direct quote from Smith saying the decisions were wrong and this quote about Solomona's attempt says it all:

"“David was distraught, he was saying sorry to his mates and the coaches but he will score plenty this year and was within inches or centimetres of winning the game"

That is the player knew he dropped the ball and it wasn't a try.
