I like it. Think it is really smart. Didn,t buy last years home kit due to the poor quality of it, just the away shirt. As long as quality OK will be buying this one. Everyone entitled to their own opinion but cant believe how so negative many of you are! Retro shirt sales should do well though if you all stick to your word!

I think it looks bloody amazing. When you go to the actual online shop and see the picture of it laid out, its a lot more cherry than it looks with the hoff modelling it. Love it.

The majority of fans on this site hate this shirt. How hard can it possibly be to create a shirt with normal cherry and white hoops?

IL has made a MASSIVE blunder with this one. If he would have got the design right it would have sold in the thousands.

The mistake they've made is putting "It also incorporates white flashes over the chest and hips which are designed to accentuate the shoulders and shrink the waist making the Warriors look even bigger and more fearsome than before" in the public domain. If you're designing a kit to make you look more fearsome, you can't then tell everybody that's what you've done?! That just makes no sense at all. If anything, it will have the opposite effect. Lets say somebody has worked especially hard in the off season and bulked up a bit, instead of having the new intimating effect you want, the other team is just going to think it's your new pretty shirt doing it.

You can't wear those pants that hold you in to look good for a party, then spend the whole party telling people you're wearing them. That's just ridiculous.

And of top of all that, surely somebody must've realised that "shaded cherry-to-white" would equal pink??? SURELY that crossed somebody's mind at some point???

I also think they've missed a trick not putting the Champions patch on the sleeve. It is hand on heart thoroughly deserved, and you should be wearing it with pride (Or at lease as much pride as you can in a waist shrinking pink shirt).

Right, as a non wigan supporter my opinion probably doesn't mean anything but … As a designer and someone who has worked in marketing for many years and worked with some pretty big brands, I will say this shirt is ridiculous, heres why. Your team in RL circles is massive, the name Wigan RL is probably one of the most recognisable names in RL, as are the colours your team play in. Why on earth when you have just won a championship and you get to play a WCC would your club decide to change one of the most famous and memorable aspects of your club - the team colours! if there was any time to release a kit that resembled the kit that your ultra successful team of the 80's wore it was now, horrendous piece of design, but above all, an horrendous waste of a marketing opportunity,. Imagine you all remembering the great 80's wigan team and then seeing what could be another great wigan team in similar colours.


Along with Bradfords effort, I actually find it offending that a professional designer has produced this.

P.S I think this year would have been a good year to drop the Warriors moniker.

Ive a cupboard full of propper shirts "WITH CHERRY & WHITE HOOPS" I never bought last years effort & I certainly wont be buying this shirt neither.Looks like one of them pictures monkeys do when they throw a bucket of paint at a canvas,awfull,Hoops I tell thee hoops.Lennig should consult some fans as he is losing revenue big time,if he's bothered.

This really REALLY isn't "Anti-Wigan", I love the way you played last year. Top respect.

I just think the powers that be have really coc[ik[/ied up here. Shirt revenue would've been up anyway the year after a win. All they had to do was make something even remotely sell-able, cherry & white hoops, Champions patch, and it would've flown off the shelves.

And the WCC... on the World Stage. Think of the pictures of you holding the trophy up dressed in that?! Some idiot somewhere has ruined the history books.

Whoever approved that particular kit, for this particular post championship winning year, is a silly, silly, silly man.

Really quite gutted at this effort actually. Won't be putting it on my Christmas list.
