Has anybody from the World Hide & Seek Championships found Sinfield yet ?

Sinfield will be involved because Smith will want a kicker.

TBH he was poor, but he isn't the problem. There are several others ahead of him in the need to be dropped queue.

I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here but I think the problem with Sinfield at International level might not be him, but the attitude of the team around him towards him.
At Leeds he is the captain and has the full backing and respect of his team mates, allowing him to play the style of Rugby that he does (after all Leeds half backs don't exactly have a kicking game). But at international level he is just a everyday player who may or may not have the teams full backing and respect after all Leeds aren't the most liked team amongst SL.
Just one point was in the warm up the camera's where on him the team did 3 passing drills and didn't give the ball to him once, and him seemed to say FFS pass me the ball, (and that was in the warm up.

this proves to all Reading your posts without doubt you know nothing about the Leeds halfbacks or the way Leeds play but more importantly you know absolutely nothing about the game of rugby league!

But to be fair, both Sinfield and McGuires kicking game was very poor last night, wasn't it?

We also had a scrum half in there that was supposed to "guide us around the park"

I bet Gregory, Edwards and Hanley were sat shaking their heads in shock at to how poor a midfield trio (as a team) were.

how can a player who was at the top of the tackle count, score a try, have a try assist and score nearly 50% of a teams points be classed as going missing?

thought sinfield and mcguire played and kicked well! thought myler did most of the kicking that was poor! but thought a lot of pressure that was put on our kickers came from roby who simply has crap dummy half distribution

Thought roby, Moore, graham, burgess, Westwood, shenton, myler and briscoe were the players that really need to have a look at themselves.

Maguire was shocking

To say Graham needs to look at himself is laughable he looked more dangerous with ball in hand than any of the so-called half backs. and he had good go forward

Must have been at the other end of the pitch to me, went straight down every time I saw him take it in. The only time I noticed him looking dangrerous was when he ran a great line but over ran the pass, spilling the ball as a result, would have scored for sure if he'd timed it better. Having said that he's a good player on the back of a good season so I wouldn't drop him.

MCGuire was anonymous and his kicking game was terrible!
The 3/4qtrs received almost Zero ball from him and he didn't dictate The game like a Half back should it wasn't until Sinfield moved himself closer to the action 2nd half did we slightly improve.

Myler was anonymous 1st half but at least "Slightly" better second although that's not saying much!

FWIW based on Smith's other selections I find it baffling that he hasn't selected Burrows in the squad as maybe as a 3 they play better?

And there's nobody going to convince me that the squad wouldn't be better with Burrows/Gleeson/Pryce & JJB in it!

He didn't play too well last night in the first half. He was so upset with himself when he mistimed his run for the try. But I think you have been a bit too harsh there. He improved in the second half and made metres. He's bound to go down eventually. He's not Moi Moi. (although even Moi Moi surrenders to tackles sometimes!) He is a ball carrying prop, there to distribute as well as make metres and some of his passes were excellent.

McGuire and Sinfield had stinkers bar a 10minute spell at the start of the 2nd half when Sinfield pulled himself together.

Not saying i disagree with the other names mentioned bar maybe Graham and Shenton who i thought did ok-ish. If Graham could have held onto the ball he'd have been doing alot better.

Graham look more dangerous than any of our forwards lastnight. and he didnt go straight down from every tackle.

Bar one or 2 errors i thought Graham was pretty good last night. A couple of players made him look abit of an idiot(Burgess was one) by dropping perfect passes Graham had thrown to them to put them through gaps.

He should start next week.

Thought it was a night for the old guard really, peacock Morley and ellis stood out for me! if anything it looked like graham was trying too hard which can gave the reverse effect at time. you could see there was a lot of personal frustration in his performance. I said graham needed to have a look at himself, well that's not always a bad thing. a little more composure would see him kick on again imo

He puts in a sensational performance against the World Champions and nobody has anything to say. I suppose your silence says it all!

He played well from dummy half. Crap at Loose forward though.

Think you will find most people were worried about his selection at 13 but happy to have him as a 9, turns out they were right.

No, general consensus seemed to be that he was useless at International level, period.

He controlled the game last night, something he's rarely been given the opportunity to do at International level, but thanks to the inexperience and lack of International quality of the two half backs last night, he was given the game to run and he thrived on it

No consensus was he had underachieved thus far.

120 minutes of good performances at International level and Loiners seem to think he is the best player in the world.

He has to back up this game and a half of good performances to be considered anything more than an International let down.

No, Sinfield put in his normal performance. Opposition fans' ridiculous bagging of him is what has caused the reaction IMO. He didn't do anything different yesterday than he has been doing for Leeds for the last 6 years




That goes for every single player in the squad barring probably Peacock, Graham, Burgess and Ellis.

For someone who sounds so old when they post, you seem to have forgotten that whenever a "great" English player has pulled on an International jersey for the last 30 years, they have generally been made to look sh*t.
