Surely that's not it, I can't see any benefit to either party in doing that. It's not like a future employer would look at Lam any differently as a coach who was sacked as opposed to a coach who didn't have his contract renewed. It's not like Noble where he did alright but the club felt they could do better. Lam is a season too late for that. Everyone can already see the wheels have fallen off now. No SL or NRL club is going to take him as Head Coach as his next appointment regardless of whether he sees the season out or not.

It can’t be surely. I know he’s Rads mate but if he is just being used as some sort of mouth piece, then things are in a sorry state. I’ve just watched his interview on Wigan TV and he doesn’t come across as a man who has given up any coaching responsibility, although he does seem like he’s now putting heat on the players rather than just saying things will be ok.
