I dont agree, i think the motivation of getting to the grand final is enough for anyone
Unless you are suggesting teams would hold back in a game like this unless they have been picked?

| the team with the club call more often than not does not win the GF!!
how about a top 7 PO. a straight KO but the LL get week 1 off!! no second chances, no club call, no repeat games just KO RL with a format that's easy to understand. My predictions in brackets!
G1 2v7 (Wire v Hudds)
G2 3v6 (Saints v Hull)
G3 4v5 (Catalan v Leeds)
G4 LL v Winner G3 (Wigan v Leeds)
G5 Winner G1 v Winner G2 (Wire v Saints)
GF Winner of G4 v Winner of G5 (Leeds v Saints)
Champions: Leeds
You would still get the same result with this format but its a better system imo!!

| Think Club Call should include picking the ref, then we would have picked the lowest ranking ref ! who is that then, th ere are a few candidates.

Just had a silly thought even changing to this format the RFL can still keep the club call, the highest team out of the two Grand Finalists gets to choose the ref for the GF.'"
that really would be mission impossible.

| Club call should also be picking the opposition team, the're allowed one player to do a 10 minute cameo from any other club currently knocked out of the competition in Superleague.
Also the ref has a secret kazoo and when he plays the benny hill theme on it trys are worth 8 points

Well out of 3 years the ClubCall team have won their semi final twice
2009 - Leeds picked Catalans and won.....won the GF
2010 - Saints picked Hudds and won......lost the GF
2011 - Wire picked Leeds and lost in the dying minutes.
Obviously i know you said win the GF (not their semi) but i don't see what effect having ClubCall has on the team AFTER they do get through that game and are at Old Trafford. The more important stat is that the ClubCall picking team have won more than they have lost. This time next week if Wigan are the finalists then ClubCall becomes a distant memory.
Whilst i do think ClubCall should be scrapped (as i can't see a better scenerio than the one Wigan have had to face which could of perhaps led to the lowest ranked team not being picked for a change, based on Wire and Leeds' varying Playoff success) it's also not the complete OTT hurricane force juggernaut wreckage of our sport that many are making it out to be. It's just a poor idea, nothing more.

| The coaches (quite rightly) have made Club Call pointless by picking the lowest ranked team each time, because it takes the sting out of it. Wane should have announced it as soon as you won against Catalan (ie, we will pick the lowest ranked team.
The best format was the top six. Top two play for the Grand Final berth, with the loser getting the second chance against the winner of the 3-6 competition. Nice and simple. Currently, it is better to finish 5th than 4th, as you get to go into your game against the first round loser with momentum following the win against the weakest side in the eight.

I've suggested a similar format in the past, I think it provides a good comprimise between reducing the number of teams dramatically (i.e. from 8 to 5), giving the majority of the teams nothing to play for, and rewarding mediocrity. There is also a definite advantage gained for every place higher you finish during the weekly rounds

| Top 3, league winner goes straight to the GF and 2nd and 3rd play off to get there, rewards the winner of the league
