| ThinK you are doing our boys a disservice by trying to blame the referee for the scoreline. Yes he made mistakes, for both teams but we certainly wouldn't have been on the end of a drubbing.
If you think that refereeing performance was poor then you need to get out to some Championship matches.

Featherstone Rovers - Co-Operative Championship League Leaders and Champions 2011: |
|
| He made some howlers for both teams, Finn's ball strip should have been pulled back, but then again Tomkins knock on went un noticed, despite his linesman being right on top of it.
And where the back to one call came from when Leulei knock on came from I don't know, but I do know that it gifted you a try.
I'll echo what Phil Stone said, if you think Silverwood was poor, get a long to a few Championship games, after a few, you'll revere him as a refereeing god.

| Went last night and watched it again this afternoon, at the game thought he was very poor, I saw the ball steal off Finchy from the stand how the ref and two TJ's don't see it I don't know, what I did see this afternoon is that he got things wrong for both sides.
As we all know the standard of the officials , that includes TJ's , is getting worse , I think the RFL should get rid of Cummings and get some new ideas in there, also some competition for places for the refs.
Fev gave everything, the conditions were difficult, and we had to work very hard to get the win.
Well done Fev.

That isn't the point though, is it?

LOL they did influence the result, massively in Wigans favour.
Dodgy penalties, missed knock ons, strange back to 1's.
watch the game again and look how Wigans gained their field position before most tries. He penalised the hell out of us in the second half
All Fev fans I spoke to after the game were moaning about the ref battering us
You guys should stop moaning about him and thank him for preventing a humiliating loss.

Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

27588.gif "Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif |

| He let a hell of a lot go at the ruck which just wouldn't be allowed in Super League. Championship standard rules by a championship standard referee. Wane and Tommy are certainly unhappy about his performance in the post match interviews on the SL website

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

There have been moans after every game this season, not just this one. If you think the level of officiating is good, you will be in a very small percentage of fans.

| I have watched the game this morning, I think to be fair there were some poor decisions but to say it was a biased performance is as stated before in this thread is doing Rovers a great disservice, sadly the standard or officiating in this country is miles behind that of the NRL, does anyone else think we should follow the 2 referee option as in the NRL, this I think has sped up the game no end down there.

I've mentioned this previously and in theory it's a brilliant idea. but we don't have enough competent ref's as it is, let alone having 2 per match. Can you imagine someone like Ganson wanting to share the spot light?
The standard of refereeing is getting very tedious now, and it is a shame that every week a lot of teams are feeling hard done by. Ref's are not being consistent at all, they are letting things go at some points in matches then deciding to penalise the exact same thing later on when they feel fit and vice versa. and it is this hap hazard approach that is causing so much anger. There is an argument that the game would suffer if penalty's are constantly blown. take a look at the final quarter in the wire match yesterday for example... . But, if the rules are being broken then it need's clamping down on and penalising. It seem's now that teams are constantly pushing the boundaries knowing that referee's won't constantly blow the whistle for fear of being slated for giving too many penalties away. When the ref's do decide to clamp down on all the messing around. You get what we saw yesterday where Warrington got hammered. The ref spent 60 minutes "letting it go" then all of a sudden decided to start clamping down.

| Just watched it back. He can barely contain his smile when he is giving the Raynor try. It was the most bent refereeing performace I have ever seen.
