| Personally I prefer the friday/saturday games. If you want the best for crowds then swapping around is probably a good thing, it gives the opportunity for people who can't usually make friday nights to get to a game.

| Quote: MadDogg "The Wigan club handle the 'walk up' fans very poorly though in my opinion.
I was one of them yesterday as we made the decision to go just a few hours before. I can't get a season ticket due to work.
First of all, I couldn't believe the prices for a match ticket. I wasn't aware of the changes they had made in that regard as I'd always had a season ticket previous but the last time I bought match tickets a few years ago it was £14 for an adult and £8 for a concession. Now its £20 for an adult and £14 for a concession - huge price rises in just 2-3 years.
The other area of concern which was causing a lot of anger at the stadium yesterday was that they only had one turnstyle open for cash entry leading to a massive queue along the East stand. Not exactly welcoming to those who do make the spur of the moment decision to attend and therefore likely to detract those 'floater' fans to becoming regulars. The line went at a snails pace as well - the poor old chap taking tickets seemed very confused with what he was doing; more staff to support him was clearly needed.
Anyone know of a relevant contact at the club I can send my concerns on to? Little things like this can stop fans attending games.'"
If you're going to walk up on match day you're better off going to one of the ticket offices than trying to pay cash on the turnstile. They're both open before kick off and each have 4-5 staff on so you get sreved far quicker. Then you can use any turnstile you want

Queues there were just as bad Sunday... Very poor planning... If you are selling something, make sure you get the money, and that the customer comes back!!!!!.. Shambles to be honest.
Somebody earlier mentioned that they had a season ticket and they just walked in past the queues, bully for you, don't forget that the walk-ups help keep the price of your ticket down, so don't be so sniffy.. Not everybody can get to enough games to make it a worthwhile purchase, but our money is just as good as yours...

| I think the jury is still out on whether Sunday afternoons will be more successful than Friday evenings. Yes we had a 10% increase in crowd against Catalans but they are a team that were playing attractive rugby and were turning up on the back of defeating Stains which will have pulled a few extra Wiganers. I think the litmus test will be the London game in a fortnight, a team who will bring as many supporters as Les Cats (i.e. None) but are winless and playing poorly it seems. Last seasons crowd against them was 12,813 and if we manage a 14k+ crowd then I'd suggest it may make financial sense to think about moving to Sunday Afternoon rugby next season.
For what it's worth I prefer Friday nights, always think that the atmosphere is better.

This.
Those of us with kids and Mr's will probably agree. She's happy if she drag my a*se around Ikea
or somewhere for something we don't need on a Saturday!

| The main reason we moved to Fridays in the 1st place was to suit the suits (no pun intended) they like having a meal and drink and not having to go to work the day after, the atmosphere is always controlled by the size of crowd and the way support no matter if its played 8pm Friday or 3pm Sunday.

| it just seems that the atmosphere appears better under floodlights, make the ground seem as those it is closed in and you are closer to the action......
