| It appears to be working.
10% increase on last years crowd v Catalan (which was played on a Friday night)
Personally, I like Sunday afternoons, particularly in the early season when the weather is "cool"

| Sunday afternoon's tend to bring in a higher 'walk up' number than Friday nights, and is obviously more family friendly. Allegedly increases the away following from the Yorkshire folk, but I have my doubts. However, in terms of occasion and atmosphere, the 'big games' should always be Fri/Sat nights for me.

| Hate Sunday games.
Friday night RL at the DW is easily the best way to start a weekend off.

The Wigan club handle the 'walk up' fans very poorly though in my opinion.
I was one of them yesterday as we made the decision to go just a few hours before. I can't get a season ticket due to work.
First of all, I couldn't believe the prices for a match ticket. I wasn't aware of the changes they had made in that regard as I'd always had a season ticket previous but the last time I bought match tickets a few years ago it was £14 for an adult and £8 for a concession. Now its £20 for an adult and £14 for a concession - huge price rises in just 2-3 years.
The other area of concern which was causing a lot of anger at the stadium yesterday was that they only had one turnstyle open for cash entry leading to a massive queue along the East stand. Not exactly welcoming to those who do make the spur of the moment decision to attend and therefore likely to detract those 'floater' fans to becoming regulars. The line went at a snails pace as well - the poor old chap taking tickets seemed very confused with what he was doing; more staff to support him was clearly needed.
Anyone know of a relevant contact at the club I can send my concerns on to? Little things like this can stop fans attending games.

| Its hit and miss really for people there is no longer a Mon - Fri 9-5 work life so whats good for some is not for others. My dad works nights Mon - Fri so this season he hasnt missed a game yet and wont until Wire at home but for some in retail Sunday is seen as a busy trading day.

| As far as the Friday/Sunday debate goes - Fridays far better for atmosphere, Sundays probably better to attract higher numbers. Take your pick.

| I dont mind Sundays or Fridays. I think the atmosphere always depends on the game no matter what day it is. Imo the club should do whatever they think will get most fans in, if thats Friday then so be it but if its Sunday then go for it i say.

to my knowledge the last 3 years it has been at least £18 so not sure when the last time you went was. I saw the people waiting otside the east stand that was about 2:55 i just walked in with my season ticket and there were 2 turnstiles open for cash that i saw, If everyone leaves it to the last minute then this will cause wait times to get in

| Personally I prefer Friday/Saturday evening games. The atmosphere always seems much more subdued on Sunday afternoons, not sure why but it just isn't as good as a Friday night. Maybe everyone is hungover and not as loud?....
I agree that more people can get to games with ease but it doesn't have the effect on the atmosphere that you would think having more bums on seats should have.

| Friday nights for me, as it is the perfect kickstart to the weekend and that is even though I have to crawl 100 miles up the M6 to make home games
