| Am i the only one who thinks this loaning/dual registration malarkey could have a negative impact on some teams in the long run. If i was a fringe player at Widnes or verging on the first team and i saw these players come in and out as their clubs wished i might be thinking why stick around, if every time a big club lends one of their fringe players they go straight into the team...

It might affect concistancy for the championship clubs I suppose, but if you're a fringe player in a championship team then you're either young, in which case it's better to have championship youngsters waiting for their chance than SL youngsters, or old, in which case you're probably not that good anyway.

Sink your line a little deeper next time, Steve.

Or the fact Wigan don't want them cup-tied so should we get another injury crisis and progress in the cup they can still play for us.
I am sure Ainscough and Farrell would love it if they were ruled out of playing for Wigan in a cup final if we got there and slots in the side became available for them

To be honest mate we have a horrific injury list at the moment, and the fringe players are the u18s.Tom Kelly and Jack Smith played against the french and young hulme.Ainscough,Davies and Farrell are superleague standard already, and to entice fans we need to be winning. We do have some good youth, but the squad at widnes is not that great after the first 18.The reserves have not played yet,so no match fitness for any of them.Anyway i thank Wigan for the players and hope you win the league.

I'd keep an eye on Jack Smith if I were you. I've seen him play loads and he's got a lot of potential.

Dave
Farrell played for us at Sheffield so is tied to Wigan anyway and a condition of Ainscough's loan to Cas was that he could not play in the cup for Cas (to prevent him being cup tied). It is therefore unlikely that we would allow him to be tied to any other club. Ben Davies may be allowed to play for Widnes but that depends on whether our coaches consider it likely that he would be needed to be recalled if injuries strike and so be needed for later rounds. If they think they are unlikely to use him then he, like Neil Holland could be allowed to play for his dual reg club in the cup (though I suspect he like Ainscough will not be allowed to).
I think though that judging by the wink at the end of Steve Fox's post that he was joking.

| Unfortunately as much as he trys his heart out he simply isnt up too the standard that we require to win anything this season. He has too many holes in his game.
We have 3 better wingers in the team that we would all agree deserve a starting stop ahead on him.
With him going back to Widnes it looks as though Goulding will be back this weekend.
