And that's the worst part of it all - no Wigan side should ever be guilty of that.

| Praise: the forwards, mostly. And the attendance - over 16k home supporters (plus maybe 500 Giants fans?) is a good sign (hope the performance didn't put off the "floaters" for future games)
Grumble: the lack of a kicking game, and the midfield defence.

| Praise - Hock was great in attack at times. Lima was better than last year. Farrell looks like he did in 2010. The new boys went ok.
Grumble - No kicking game. In 2011 we played a slightly worse version of what we did in 2010. Now in 2012 we are playing a slightly worse version of what we did in 2011. We are far too predictable in attack. We don't move the ball half as quick as we used to in 2010, this is a grumble from last year as well.
Wane has said he wants the players bigger and faster and more skillfull, I don't think that really works. It showed at the game. We were not building pressure like we used to. We need a massive improvement.
We havn't lost 2 in a row during a season since 2009 when we got beat by saints away through a late Eastmond try and then got beat by Wire in the cup semi a week later. I am proud of that record. We need to improve bigtime if we are to beat Leeds next week.

| Praise: as most have said the forwards performed well especially Lima and Mossop
Grumbles: we play one of the most dangerous players in the world in a position where he is out of the game for a large majority
we play a world cup winner hooker who cannot kick in a position where he has to kick
we move the entire team around to accomodate tommy at hooker and have the loose forward move to stand off.
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY
why do we see it and the professionals cannot!!!!!!

| Praise-Rugby League is back!
Grumble-Wane has tried to fix/alter something that wasnt broke rather than slowly making subtle changes. Its well known John Dorahy tried to do it in the 90's and as the season went on the players started to ignore him and play the way that had worked for them for many years.

Last 10 mins showed what we are capable of.
Faz's runs are formidable
Hock showed glimpses of what he used to be
Grumble
No desire - the way some of the lads dragged themselves to pack down 10 metre off our line towards the end was embarrasing.
Paddy's lost his speed since his injury

| Praise - Farrell's angled runs are quality. Hansen hit hard and ran good lines. Mossop and Lima look good.
Grumble - As many have said, lack of ANY kicking game. No intensity in attack or defence (until it was too late). Silverwood!
It's early doors yet. Surely if we can point out the problems, our coaching staff can do the same.

| Praise - Mossop and Lima were outstanding. Lima worked very hard and Mossop was very effective running the ball.
Farrell looks like he could be in for a very good year. His support play is excellent and he looked stronger in defence.
Hock was erratic but there are promising signs. He was making metres for fun and missed too many tackles but considering his 5 match ban will have affected his return to match fitness he's looking promising.
Negatives - Our two new props were nothing short of poor. Flower worked hard in defence but ruined it with some sloppy tackling. In attack he was almost non-existent and couldn't make any impact against a weakened Giants pack.
Lauaki was worse, he didn't do anything with ball in hand, made very few metres and seemed completely reluctant to make a tackle.
Lack of invention in attack at times. The dummy runners weren't drawing players in down the middle, the passing wasn't slick.
Carmont and Richards looked surprisingly poor. Richards seems to have lost any pace he once had while Carmont wasted several opportunities. He's only had 1 pre-season game though so perhaps he can be forgiven for not being up to scratch.

| Praise: Mossop, Lima, Hansen good going forward. Flower good defensively at one point made 4 tackles in a row. Generally forwards ok but didn't make the 'dents' I expected will get better though IMO. We didn't play well but still could have won!
grumbles: kicking game woeful, organisation poor particularly on last tackle.

This sums it all up very well for me. In addition our kicking game leaves a lot to be desired, for the umpteenth season in a row
