First 10 mns we did well then never looked like winning. Saints were trash which says a lot about how we played.

Probably a couple of big forwards short of what we needed out there. Having Mossop, Fielden and Cross get injured towards the end of the year along with Hock's suspension was unfortunate.

Sam wasn't fit, that was clear. Our attack wasn't fluid enough and our levels of form and confidence simply haven't been there since Wembley.

But Saints played very well and fair play to them. I don't understand why they keep calling for Lomax to be pushed to the England side when Gaskell makes the more productive contribution of the two. His kicking was outstanding at times.

The better side won on the night. Saints scrambling defence was very good particularly in the second half, one tackle by Scott Moore and another on Sam Tomkins when we looked certain scorers. We had eighteen tackles on their line so you have to credit the defence. I do think we missed another big forward Mossop/ Fielden/ Hock/ Cross as we seemed to lose our early domination when Coley and Lima went off. The bench was lightweight with Farrell, Tuson and O'Carroll.

Good to see somebody agree with me about Faz, again 2 mistakes in the second half, a dropped ball and lying on in the tackle, have been saying for weeks the guy is not good enough, Tuson the same. We need a class centre, we have missed Gleeson all season to be honest. I know Joel has tried his damness all season but the lad is a running second row and hope he gets back there next season.

Simmonds coaching is based on a rock solid defence and it showed tonight and 2 weeks ago to be honest, i hope they win it next week but it will be a blinding game.

As the saying goes "Form is temporary, class is permanent" Saints showed why they have reached 6 finals on the trot and Wigan have reached 1 in six years.

Saints play the game the right way - hopefully a change of coach will bring a move away from the cynical style adopted under Maguire.

Can't argue. We played poorly in the second half, Plays didn't come off for us/ saints read everything we where going to do.

As a Leeds fan I was hoping Wigan would win - but as a rugby fan I am glad Saints won - it will be tougher for Leeds to beat Saints that is for sure.

Gaskill and Lomax showed Tomkins what is needed - they are really a talented pair.

Lima's attempt on Lomax's ankle illustrated the cynical style under Maguire to a tee. It needs eradicating from the sport - the sooner the better.

Great season , wanted the Challenge Cup above all else but still disappointed we didn't get to the GF....I know this may upset a few but I'm praying that we bring in an Aussie coach next year , I don't think we will progress with Wane at the helm
