Well done to Warrington, they took advantage of a Wigan team who weren't at the races; Whether that had something to do with Wembley or Warrington being very good (or a bit of both) we will never know.

We have come off the back of a really intense 2 mth period and what i do know though is that this was likely to come at some point, I am glad the kicking has come now rather than the final eliminator.

What the last few weeks have shown us is that Leeds, Sts and Warrington are going to be no pushovers and this should provide the ultimate tool to refocus the players of the task in front of them.

Saying this, regardless of todays result we still only need to win 3 games to become champs again. We have proved that we are capable of doing this over the last month against the same opposition, Wire still have to prove that they can back up in consecutive weeks against the best there is.

We would have lost against any of the top 8 today, and just about struggled through against the bottom teams.

Agreed, judging by how Wigan usually react to a defeat, it'll re-double our efforts and determination.

I said to my dad after the game if I were Maguire I'd tell the lads I'd see them in the morning for a warm down and then after that I'd want them resting until Thursday. Give them a couple of days off to mentally recharge and start again on Thursday. I'd give 5 or 6 of them the night off on Friday and by the first round of the play offs they should be fresh as daisys.

Guys like Coley, Prescott, Hansen and Lockers look shot today but it won't take much to get them right.

As they say its not over till the fat lady sings and the shield is still ours for one more game put this game down to a bad day at the office get over it, get your head back into focus and use the defeat to come back stronger which i am sure this Team are more than capable of doing this might be just the thing we needed to refocus the minds

Losing today is no disgrace. I am just disapointed with how much we gifted them.

It would have been a close game had we not gifted them tries.

Tries like Hansen popping the ball out for no reason and them scoring just hardly ever happen. Nothing went for us today.

Wasn't our best game like Smith said but we do have bodies to add to the side and sometimes you can be a little cold from a week off.

I think out classed is the wrong word. The better team obviously won but Wire didn't have to do much to gain the majority of their points. A turning point could have been when Tomkins found touch with a pass. Instead of 18 - 6 it became 24 -0.

Tony Smith alluded to it after the game. It is all about how a team starts in Rugby League. When we beat you in the cup we raced into a 22-0 lead, which in fairness you put yourselves in a position to come back into the game, but it was a too tougher task. Similar thing happened today, but just the other way round. Both Wigan and Warrington blow the opposition away in the opening 20 minutes. When they collide it can be just the bounce of a ball (error from the kick off) that can make all the difference.
