The worrying thing is, if Carmont and Hock are out, not only are we limited in our cover options from the 19, but Smith will be in.

Spread rumours about undeserving players is on thing but somebody who puts his body on the line every time he wears the Cherry n White. Someone who is stupid / brave enough to keep playing with the aid of injections (that do not last for a full 40 let alone 80) then that is Out of Order. He should not play v Cats. It is impossible for him to get the swelling down from his ankle in the time between Saints and Cats. However, this is Gaz Hock.

Clifford you are putting players in a dangerous position. When Hock finds out he is going to head straight for Ainsy or Sam Tomkins.

Nail on head every week somebody says he has gone awal or did something stupid in town , this not having ago at you personally Tricky but he is named in the squad and if he dose not play because of injury thats fair enough, and if he is not in france then club need to sort this out internally .
If you are correct it shows the clubs organisation in a very poor light indeed .

I am certainly not knocking the lad. He is in the running for man of steel for me and he wont be the last person to misplace their passport. The rest will do his ancle good and should allow him to regain his fitness by the celtic game.

He could. After watching the game again, Phelps wasn't at fault for the high kick that led to Pryce's try - it was Roberts. He claimed it and didn't get it.

It was also Phelps's kicks that led to us getting repeat sets on St.helens's line.

I hope he can get a few games there see how he go's. I thought it was Roberts that went for the bomb i also though after looking at it a few time that a saints player knocked it on but cant complain about it Roberts should have got the ball

Does seem that the competition aspect has put a rocket up Phelps' 'arris and spurred him on when he's got his chance. After all, until the Stains game most would have been happy to see Phelps sold or sent on a short term loan with 24hr recall.

Well i have not thought that at any time he is not quick enough to be a winger but is not a bad stand in . Was not that impressed when he had that game at SO but he did ok but was quite impressed with his fullback play and was very impressed with his kicking game and he has never been one to shy away from running the ball in

I'm in general agreement. I also believe he'd not get some of his grief if he was a Wigan lad and not an Aussie. He's a good utility back, never going to set the world on fire but a handy squad player to have at the right price.

Obviously he is going to have the hump with his sister too. Who incidentally does not say he lost it permanently. How many of us misplace something and end up looking around for it for X hours before hey presto we find it. I agree with Saints Simon BTW. The club should have the passport of every player in their hands a week before a game abroad.

Clifford? He suddenly starts giving team details and it coincides with Ainsy and Sam getting in the team who do you think Hock or Mick Hogan is going to head towards? Clifford is doing the player concerned no favours.

so whats the point of the 48 hour squad naming rule?

wasnt it brought in to stop saints playing their reserves and certain players winning money by backing the opposition?

i thought there was however a proviso for bringing in a replacement, but only if a player gets injured AFTER the squads been named.

as far as im aware all our injured players were doubtful starters when the squad was named?
