| The only thing that concerns me about Wane is his public criticism of players. Yes the second half at Bradford was poor but this was on the back a perfect easter period and a game that was over at half time. The constant 'we can do better' public bagging of sometimes named players could have an adverse effect particularly in a squad so young. How long when you consider how well these young players have done will it be before moral drops because regardless of results nothing seems good enough.

Didn't say he couldn't, I'm merely saying I don't agree with it

Exactly my point, his comments to me come across as very strange and a little ott.
Be careful though, you aren't allowed to speak negatively about me wane or people may think you have an agenda

F.T VEE.
Agree 100%, he also had a crack at Farrell's defence tonight in the M.E.N.

To be fair when you watch the video on the SL website then he really goes to town praising Faz and his work ethic.
That being said i think he's made himself look a little silly with these latest comments. Sadly it's another case of Wane's verbal diarrhoea.
It's OK everyone saying 'it's just who is' but maybe it's time to try the silent approach with the media.

| His hubris was a factor in our failure to win the big games last season - at the moment he doesn't seem to have learned from last season's mistake when he opens his gob. I wish he would just STFU sometimes and follow the Madge route of quiet dignity.

Quite frankly this is embarrassing, a poster posts a fair comment reflecting on Wane's discussion of Faz's defence (which by the way was absurd considering how well Faz has been playing) and you twist and turn it into a personal attack.
This is the kind of childish petty attitude that stifles genuine discussion about Wigan RL and league in general, it was clearly nothing more that a snipe, a dig for no reason, well done on lowering the tone to such a level.

Amen to that.
I don't know if anyone has picked up on this but Maguires side lost a BIG game this weekend. As such you'd expect to find a decent number of sites quoting Madge's thoughts on the game right? I can hardly find any quotes or statements from Madge regarding the game! That's how it should be with Wane imo. The talking should be done behind closed doors at Orrell.

| I really don't think it's Wane's interviews, or our "win every game approach" that's damaged us in the big games, more that Leeds & Wire are more experienced sides with a nucleus of players that have won a lot of trophies. It can be quite difficult to force a "changing of the guard" when sides are so dominant, you just have to wait til the opportunity presents itself and strike.
We're well in the trophy hunt, but sides like Leeds & Wire will be thereabouts because they're good teams, full of experience, that know how to play under pressure. Not because they held off and only gave the lower sides a bit of a beating rather than blowing them off the park.

It is strange, some would say its reverse psychology maybe, an attempt at keeping Farrell grounded but I worry comments like these could have an adverse reaction. It started a couple of weeks ago when opta were showing that Farrell had not missed a single tackle and wane came out and said "it was a bit generous as he has definitely missed a few"

| its interesting that wane is having a moan about farrell's defence when 1 of his favourite love childs micky mac as been poor in his tackling this season, but not a word (not having a go at micky, i think he's top draw but just wish criticism was fair) also i cant remember him having a go at hocks defence last year even though hock isn't in the same league as farrell when it come's to defence.

He was probably asked directly what he thought of Farrell's defence. I'm sure if he was asked about Micky Mac's defence he'd be critical of it.
