Plenty of guys might not become or even want to become a head coach. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be kept hold of.

FWIW I heard good things about Deacon as a coach but I've not necessarily seen this transfer into a postitive impact on the side. Our attack has stagnated since Harris left and our skills (carchching, passing) have got worse imo. It's not all Wane's fault so some has to filter down to the coaches like Deacon.

Yeah of course they only go for the money. It's not like RU has anything to offer apart from money is it. The blinkers some RL fans have on for RU is ridiculous.

What if a coach like Bitcon for example moved to cricket or football? Would the same lines be rolled out for that or is it just when someone moves to RU?

He's gone to a bigger sport which will offer him more opportunities along with more money. No brainer

Be fair he's in a no win situation, if he says he's off for the money, some will call him a Judas. If he mouths platitudes about new challenges he gets called as a BS merchant.

Not if it was to go and make a sport I hate better by bringing in attacking ideas and structures from the sport I love, putting more of a threat out there to the sport I love.

If Union starts to become a fast exciting attacking game by continuing to poach Rugby League's coaches, with the money it has, League will fall into very shaky ground. We would struggle to survive imo.

You are a fan... Deacon has to make a living. It's a very difficult position for the individual... For us fans it's purely a moral judgement.
